Okay, so, let’s talk about this “porn stop” thing. I wouldn’t say I was like, addicted, but I definitely found myself watching it more than I wanted to. It started messing with my head, you know? Making real-life stuff seem…less exciting. So I decided to cut it out. Cold turkey.
First thing I did? I deleted all that crap off my phone and computer. Every. Single. Video. It felt weirdly good, like a weight off my shoulders.
Then came the hard part – dealing with the urges. When I felt that familiar itch, I started doing push-ups. Or I’d go for a run. Anything to get my mind off it and get those endorphins flowing naturally. I even took up cooking. Kept my hands busy, you know? Plus, I started eating healthier, which made me feel better overall.
I also found this online group, kind of like a support group. It was just a bunch of people going through the same thing. We didn’t use real names or anything, but it was helpful to know I wasn’t alone. We shared tips, encouraged each other, and held each other accountable. That made a huge difference, honestly.
What I’ve Done
- Deleted all pornographic content from my devices.
- Started a new activity when got an urge.
- Found an online support group.
- Kept myself busy.
It wasn’t easy, I’m not gonna lie. There were days when I wanted to give up, when I felt like crap. But I stuck with it. And you know what? It’s been a few months now, and I feel…different. Better. More in control. My relationships are better, I’m more focused at work, and I’m just generally happier.
So, if you’re thinking about quitting, or even just cutting back, I say go for it. It’s definitely worth the effort. Start small, find what works for you, and don’t be afraid to ask for help. It’s your life, your body, your mind. Take control of it.
Trust me, if I can do it, you can too.
