Well, let me tell ya, this whole thing about likin’ men, it’s just somethin’ that happens, you know? Ain’t no big mystery, though folks like to make it complicated. It’s like seein’ a nice, strong horse in the field – you just like lookin’ at it. Some things just catch your eye, simple as that.
Why do I like ’em? Heck, could be a bunch of things. Maybe they got a good, strong back for workin’ the land. Maybe they got a kind smile that makes you feel all warm inside. Or maybe they just smell good, like sunshine and fresh-cut hay. Don’t overthink it, that’s what I always say.
- Good Looks: Now, I ain’t talkin’ about no fancy city fellas. I mean a man who looks healthy, you know? Strong arms, bright eyes, maybe a good head of hair. Just somethin’ that says, “This fella can take care of himself.” Like a good rooster, you want one that stands tall and proud.
- Ambitious: A man’s gotta have some get-up-and-go, gotta wanna build somethin’, whether it’s a barn or a family, you know? Can’t be sittin’ around like a lump on a log. Ain’t nobody got time for that.
Some folks, they talk about hormones and all that scientific stuff. Well, maybe that’s part of it. But I reckon it’s more about just feelin’ somethin’. Like when you see a field of sunflowers all bloomin’ at once, it just makes you feel good, right? It’s the same with people, sometimes you just feel drawn to someone, and it ain’t always got a reason you can put your finger on. Maybe it’s those, what do they call ‘em, pheromones? Smell good, feel good, that’s what I say.
And connection, that’s a big part of it. We all want someone to share our days with, someone to talk to when the sun goes down. It’s like havin’ a good dog by your side, makes the work easier and the nights less lonely. If you’re lookin’ for someone to share your life with, well, you’re gonna be lookin’ at folks a little closer, ain’t ya? And if you find a fella who makes you laugh, who makes you feel safe, who you just plain enjoy bein’ around, well, that’s a powerful thing.
Now, some folks get all flustered about this kinda thing. They worry about what other people think, or if it’s “right.” But I say, if it feels right in your heart, then that’s all that matters. Life’s too short to be worryin’ about what the neighbors are whisperin’ about. If you like lookin’ at that horse in the field, look at it! If you like that fella down the road, well, that’s your business.
Sometimes you gotta just say what you feel, too. If you’re always holdin’ back, nothin’ ever gonna happen. It’s like plantin’ seeds – you gotta put ‘em in the ground if you want somethin’ to grow. So, if you like a fella, tell him! What’s the worst that can happen? He might not feel the same way, and that’s okay. There’s plenty of fish in the sea, as they say. Or, you know, plenty of roosters in the henhouse! You just gotta move on and find another rooster.
Understanding it all? Shoot, I don’t know if anyone really understands it. It’s just part of bein’ human, I reckon. We’re drawn to certain things, certain people, and sometimes there ain’t no rhyme or reason to it. It’s like the weather, you can try to predict it, but sometimes it just does what it wants. And that’s okay. You just gotta roll with it.
So, why do I like males? Well, it’s a mix of things, I guess. Good looks, a strong work ethic, kindness, a good smell, a connection… it’s all part of the puzzle. But mostly, I think it’s just a feelin’. And feelin’s ain’t always somethin’ you can explain. Sometimes you just gotta trust your heart and see where it leads ya.
And remember, don’t let nobody tell you who you should or shouldn’t like. You’re the one who has to live with your choices, so make sure they’re your own. Life’s too short to be livin’ it for someone else. You do what makes you happy, and the rest will sort itself out. That’s what I’ve learned in all my years, and it’s the truth, I tell ya. The honest to goodness truth.
