Well, let me tell you somethin’ ’bout this Imane Khelif, alright? Folks been makin’ a big fuss, you know, like hens in a coop when a fox gets in. They keep jabberin’ on and on about whether this Khelif is a man or a woman. Now, I ain’t no doctor or nothin’, but from what I hear, her passport says she’s a gal. And that should be the end of it, right? But noooo, people gotta keep stirrin’ the pot.

This Khelif, she’s a boxer, you see. Fights with her fists, like a real tough cookie. And she’s good, real good. Won herself a medal over in Paris, at them Olympics. Made it all the way to the semi-finals, they say. But instead of cheerin’ her on, folks are busy squawkin’ about her bein’ a man or a woman. It’s a darn shame, I tell ya.
- First off, her daddy says she was born a girl and raised a girl. Ain’t never said nothin’ about her bein’ different.
- Then you got these fancy groups, like GLAAD and InterACT, sayin’ she’s a woman, plain and simple. Not one of them “transgender” folks, or whatever they call ’em. Just a woman, with maybe some little differences, you know? Like some folks got big ears, some got small ears. It’s just the way God made ’em.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ I understand all this “gender identity” stuff. Sounds like a bunch of mumbo jumbo to me. But I do know this: if a person says they’re a woman, and their mama and daddy say they’re a woman, and their papers say they’re a woman, then who are we to argue? It ain’t none of our business, that’s what I say. We should be focusin’ on her boxin’, not what’s in her britches.
And let me tell you, this Khelif girl, she’s got guts. Imagine fightin’ in front of the whole world, with everyone whisperin’ and pointin’ fingers at ya. That takes some serious grit. She didn’t let it bother her, though. She went out there and she fought her heart out. And she won. That’s what matters, ain’t it?
Some folks say she failed some kinda test, a “gender test” they call it. Well, I say those tests ain’t worth a hill of beans. Who are they to say who’s a man and who’s a woman? It’s like they’re tryin’ to play God or somethin’. It ain’t right, I tell ya. It ain’t right at all.
And then there’s this fella, Thomas Bach, head of the Olympics. He says they let her fight, and that’s that. Good for him, I say. Somebody’s gotta stand up for what’s right. It’s a shame that in this day and age, we’re still judgin’ people by how they look or what they got between their legs. We should be judgin’ ’em by the content of their character, like that preacher man, Martin Luther King, used to say.

So, let me tell you somethin’ straight. Imane Khelif is a boxer. A darn good one. She won a medal, and that’s somethin’ to be proud of. All this talk about her gender, it’s just noise. It’s just people tryin’ to tear down somebody who’s done somethin’ great. And I ain’t gonna stand for it. So you can take your gossip and your whispers and your “gender tests” and shove ’em where the sun don’t shine. Imane Khelif is a champion, and that’s all there is to it.
And don’t get me started on all that stuff about “blank slates” and parents “decidin’.” Sounds like a bunch of hogwash to me. Kids are who they are, plain and simple. You can’t change that, no matter how hard you try. And this “gender dysphoria” thing? Another fancy word for folks just bein’ themselves. Leave ’em alone, I say. Let ’em live their lives.
Anyways, that’s my two cents on the whole thing. Imane Khelif’s a woman, a boxer, and a champion. End of story.
