Okay, so the other day, my partner and I were looking for something fun to do, and I stumbled upon this idea of “relationship trivia questions.” I thought, “Why not give it a shot?” It seemed like a lighthearted way to test how well we know each other and maybe learn something new.

Getting Started
First, I dug around online for some inspiration. I didn’t want anything too serious or potentially argument-inducing, just fun, engaging questions. I found a bunch of different lists, some geared towards couples who’d been together for years, others for newer relationships. I picked and chose questions from several sources, trying to get a good mix.
My Question List
I jotted down a bunch of questions on a piece of paper. Things like:
- What’s my favorite comfort food?
- What was the first movie we saw together?
- What’s my biggest pet peeve?
- Where did they go to elementry school?
- What’s my dream vacation spot?
- What’s their favorite animal?
I tried to include a variety of topics, from our early days as a couple to our current preferences and dreams.
The Trivia Night
We grabbed some snacks, settled on the couch, and I explained the “rules” – basically, just take turns asking and answering, no pressure, and have fun. Some of the answers were super easy, we got them right away. Others took a little more thought, and there were definitely a few surprises!
It was actually really enjoyable. We laughed a lot, reminisced about old memories, and even learned a couple of new things about each other. I think the biggest win was a new idea for a future trip. All thanks to a simple trivia question.

The Aftermath
After we finished the trivia, we both agreed it was a fun and simple way to connect. It wasn’t about “winning” or “losing,” but about spending quality time together and reinforcing our bond. I’d definitely recommend it to other couples looking for a low-key, fun activity.
The next time, I think that I will invite my friends and their s.o to join us. That would be very interesting. And I believe everyone will have a lot of fun.
