Well, well, well, let me tell you somethin’ about this here Drag Race Hall of Fame. You see these drag queens? They’re somethin’ else, I tell ya. All that glitter and glam, it’s a sight to behold. It ain’t like back in my day, no sir. We didn’t have no fancy drag queens struttin’ their stuff. We had old Martha down the street who liked to wear her husband’s overalls, but that’s about it.
Now, this Hall of Fame, it’s like a big ol’ party for these queens. They get all dressed up, more than usual I mean, and they put on a show. Singin’, dancin’, you name it. And let me tell ya, they got more energy than a bunch of young’uns chasin’ chickens. They jump around, they twirl, they do all sorts of things. I get tired just watchin’ ’em! But it sure is entertainin’. This Drag Race Hall of Fame is a big deal, you know? Only the best of the best get in. You gotta be a real special drag queen to make it.
These drag queens, they gotta have what they call “Charisma,” “Uniqueness,” “Nerve,” and “Talent.” Now, I don’t know ’bout all that, but I reckon it means they gotta be good at what they do. And they gotta be different, stand out from the crowd. Like that one queen, Le Filip, they say she won some big contest, Drag Race France or somethin’, but she didn’t win any of the little contests along the way. Still ended up on top! That’s somethin’, ain’t it? That’s real Drag Race for ya.
And to get on this show, these queens, they gotta jump through hoops, I tell ya! They gotta fill out papers, they gotta make videos of themselves, they even gotta talk to some big-shot directors. It’s a whole production. Not like in my day when all ya had to do was show up! They say, you gotta show you got the “it” factor. Whatever that means. They sure do like these drag queen contests. That Drag Race Hall of Fame sure is popular.
They got all these fancy names for these things too. “Maxi challenge,” “All Stars,” what have you. Back in my day, a challenge was tryin’ to get your cow back in the barn before sundown! But these young folks, they like their fancy words. They say these drag queens are “global” now. I reckon that means they come from all over. Just like folks come from all over to see that Drag Race Hall of Fame.
This Drag Race Hall of Fame, it sounds like a real hootenanny. They even got a class of 2024 I hear. They got folks like Pat Austin, Walt Austin, Walt Barbin, Joe Gibbs, and Pamela Hardy. Now, I don’t know ’em, but they must be somethin’ special to be gettin’ into that there Hall of Fame. I bet they put on a good show too. Sounds like a real good time.
You know, they say these drag queens, they’re all about bein’ yourself and havin’ fun. And I reckon that’s somethin’ we can all learn from. Even us old folks. We might not be able to dance around in high heels and sparkly dresses, but we can still have a good time and be ourselves. And that there’s what really matters. That’s why people like that Drag Race Hall of Fame. Everyone wants to be happy.

It ain’t like the old days, that’s for sure. But I reckon it’s good to see folks havin’ fun and bein’ themselves. Even if they are wearin’ more makeup than a scarecrow’s got straw! And that Drag Race Hall of Fame, well, it’s just a place to celebrate all that, I suppose. A place for those special drag queens to shine. And that ain’t a bad thing, not at all.
So if you ever get a chance to see these drag queens, you go on and watch ’em. It’s a sight to behold, I tell ya. And maybe you’ll even learn a thing or two about bein’ yourself. ‘Cause that’s what those drag queens in the Drag Race Hall of Fame are all about. Bein’ the best darn version of yourself you can be. And that’s somethin’ we can all admire, no matter how old we are.
Now, this old gal’s gonna go sit on the porch and watch the sun go down. But you young’uns, you go out there and have some fun. And remember what I said about bein’ yourself. It’s the most important thing. Just like those drag queens in the Drag Race Hall of Fame. They know what’s what. They sure do.
You see all them folks gettin’ all excited about it. They say, “May the best drag queen win!” before they even start. Sounds like a lot of fun, don’t it? I reckon it is. I reckon it is. And who knows, maybe one day I’ll even go see it for myself! Wouldn’t that be somethin’? Me, at the Drag Race Hall of Fame! Now that’s a story for the grandkids! I bet they like the Drag Race.
