I had no idea about this award before, and now I’m really glad I found out about it. It’s not just about the award itself, but what it stands for. It’s about recognizing that everyone’s stories deserve to be told, and that includes the stories of LGBT folks in comic books. I’m definitely going to be paying more attention to this in the future and maybe even reading more of the comics that get nominated.
