Well, let me tell ya ’bout this The Four Horsemen series by Laura Thalassa. Now, I ain’t no fancy book reader or nothin’, but I heard some folks talkin’ about it, so I figured I’d give ya the lowdown, the way I see it.
First off, there’s this book called Pestilence. Sounds awful, don’t it? Like somethin’ you spray on yer crops. But it ain’t about that, not exactly. It’s about this fella, Pestilence, one of them Four Horsemen. You know, the end-of-the-world kinda guys. And this girl, Sara, she shoots him! Can ya believe it? Shoots a Horseman! But wouldn’t ya know it, he can’t be killed. So, he takes her prisoner. Now, that’s where things get interestin’, I reckon.
- They say it’s a dark romance. I ain’t sure what that means exactly, but I heard it’s got some steamy scenes. You know, the kind that make ya blush and fan yerself.
- But it ain’t all just that, mind you. There’s a story in there too. About these Horsemen comin’ to Earth and, well, endin’ things.
- And about this girl, Sara, and how she gets mixed up with this Pestilence fella.
Then there’s War, the second book. I ain’t read it yet, but from what I hear, it’s about another Horseman. Makes sense, right? Four Horsemen, four books. They say you can kinda read this one outta order, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Seems to me, it’s better to go in order, so ya know what’s what.
Next up is Famine. Now, that’s somethin’ I understand. Nothin’ worse than a hungry belly. This one, they say ya really gotta read after the first two. Otherwise, ya might be lost, like a calf in a cornfield. I reckon these Horsemen got their own stories, and they all connect somehow.
And finally, there’s Death. Well, that’s the last one, ain’t it? Death comes for us all, they say. This one, they say ya absolutely gotta read last. Otherwise, ya won’t make heads or tails of it. Sounds important, like the end of the whole shebang.
Now, this Laura Thalassa, she’s written a bunch of other books too. Somethin’ called The Unearthly series, and The Bargainer, and Bewitched. Sounds like she likes them magical stories. And they say her books get spicier as ya go. So, if ya like that kinda thing, well, there ya go.
But back to them Horsemen. They say Laura Thalassa, she was raised by fairies and kidnapped by werewolves. Can ya imagine? Sounds like somethin’ outta one of her books! Maybe that’s why she writes ’bout these strange things. Makes ya think, don’t it?
So, if yer lookin’ for a story that’s a little bit different, a little bit dark, and a little bit steamy, well, maybe this Four Horsemen series is for you. Just remember, it’s a dark romance, so there’s gonna be some stuff in there that ain’t for the faint of heart. And they say it’s best to read ’em in order. But hey, you do what ya want. I ain’t the boss of ya.
Just remember, Jerusalem falls, and these Horsemen fellas, they ain’t playin’ around. They got the power to destroy all of humanity. So, buckle up, buttercup, it’s gonna be a wild ride.
And that’s all I got to say about that. Hope it made some sense to ya. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go check on my chickens.
