Okay, so “landing strip women.” Let me tell you, I had no idea what this even really meant when I first saw it trending. I’m not gonna lie, I had to look it up. It’s about, uh, personal grooming, let’s just say. Down there. Specifically, the… leaving a strip of hair. You know.

My Experiment Begins
I’ve always been a “clean slate” kind of person. So this was way out of my comfort zone. But hey, I’m all about trying new things, at least once. I figured, worst case scenario, I just go back to my usual routine. No biggie.
First, I needed supplies. I already had my usual razor, but I also grabbed some trimming scissors. I watched some videos first to get a basic idea what to do.
- Step 1: The Trim. This was crucial. I used the small scissors to shorten everything up, making it all, uniform. Important for neatness!
- Step 2: The Shape. I decided for the basic, rectangle style, not anything fancy. I created the basic outline, making sure to leave a center strip.
- Step 3: Clean Up. Used a regular razor to shave the hair around the strip. Go slow! I did get a few nicks, being in a rush.
- Step 4: Moisturize.Important after all that, I used some unscented lotion to avoid the irritation.
The Aftermath
Honestly, the first day, I felt a little weird. It was just…different. I definitely felt more aware of the area, if that makes sense. It wasn’t uncomfortable, just new.
It grew it out some, and I did had to maintain it every few days. Trim the strip, and shave the area around. If I was going to be wearing something where it might show, I have to clean up and do the shaving more often to make it neat.
My final verdict? It’s not for me, long-term. I appreciate the aesthetic, I guess, but the upkeep is more than I want to deal with on a regular basis. I give it a solid “been there, done that” rating. Maybe I’ll try it again sometime, but for now, I’m going back to my old ways.
