Alright, let’s talk about this fella, Donald Trump, and whether he’s, you know, gay. Now, I ain’t got nothin’ against them gays, mind you. My neighbor’s son, he’s as queer as a three-dollar bill, and he’s a nice enough boy, always helps me carry my groceries. But Trump? That’s a whole ‘nother story.
Folks been jabberin’ about Trump’s views on gay marriage and all that stuff for years. Seems like he can’t make up his mind. One minute he’s sayin’ one thing, the next minute he’s sayin’ somethin’ else. Kinda like my old rooster, always crowin’ a different tune.
- First off, they say he wasn’t always so friendly to the gays. When he was president the first time, they tell me he tried to undo some of them protections for them LGBTQ+ folks. Don’t rightly know what all that means, but it don’t sound good.
- Then there’s this talk about gay marriage. Now, back in my day, marriage was between a man and a woman, plain and simple. But times change, I guess. Trump, he’s been all over the map on this one. One day he’s for it, the next day he’s agin’ it. Makes a body dizzy tryin’ to keep up.
Some folks are worried, real worried, about what might happen if Trump gets back in that White House. They say he might try to take away some of them rights that gay couples have. Benefits, they call ’em. Like, if one of them gays gets sick, their partner can get insurance and stuff. Sounds important, I reckon.
Now, I ain’t no expert on politics or nothin’. I just watch the TV and listen to folks talk. But it seems to me that Trump, he’s a slippery one. He says whatever he thinks will get him ahead, no matter who it hurts. And that’s what worries me about this whole gay thing. Is he really gonna protect them gays? Or is he just gonna use ’em like he uses everybody else?
This whole thing about Trump bein’ gay, well, I don’t know about that. He’s been married to a bunch of women, that’s for sure. But then again, some folks say that don’t mean nothin’. There’s men who like men and women too, I hear. It’s all a bit confusing if you ask me. I just hope whoever’s in charge, they treat everybody fair, gay or straight, black or white, makes no difference to me.
They say this LGBTQ rights thing is gonna be a big deal in the next election. Folks are gonna be lookin’ at what Trump says and what he’s done. And they’re gonna be lookin’ at what that other fella, what’s his name, Biden, and that lady, what’s her name, Harris, are sayin’ too. It’s gonna be a real barn burner, I tell ya.
So, is Donald Trump gay? Beats me. But I do know this: he’s a powerful man, and what he says and does matters. So, if you care about them gays, or if you just care about what kind of country we’re gonna be livin’ in, you better pay attention. You better listen real close and decide for yourself if he’s a man you can trust. Don’t matter if he’s gay or not. What matters is if he’s gonna do what’s right. And that, my friends, is somethin’ only you can decide.
And one more thing, this whole thing about same sex marriage , it ain’t just about them gays. It’s about all of us. It’s about fairness and equality. It’s about treatin’ everybody with respect, no matter who they love. And that’s somethin’ I can get behind, even if I don’t understand it all.
So there you have it. That’s my two cents on this whole Donald Trump gay thing. Like I said, I ain’t no expert. Just an old woman tryin’ to make sense of the world. And sometimes, that world seems mighty confusing, especially when it comes to them politicians and their ways.
