Well now, let’s talk about this thing, you know, boys liking boys, and girls liking girls, and then this “trans” thing on top of it all. It’s a bit of a mess to figure out, ain’t it?
What’s this “trans” all about, anyway? Seems to me, it’s when you feel like you’re one thing but look like another, right? Like, you got the parts of a boy but feel like a girl inside, or the other way around. Don’t rightly understand it myself, but that’s what folks say.
Now, if you’re one of them “trans” folks, and you’re a… let’s say, you feel like a girl inside but you got boy parts, and you like boys… well, that’s where it gets confusing, don’t it? Is that gay? Is that straight? Shoot, I don’t know.
Some folks say if you like boys, you like boys, no matter what. And if you like girls, you like girls. Simple as that. But then they throw in this “trans” thing and it all gets muddled up. I reckon it’s like this: if you’re feeling like a girl and you like boys, then maybe you’re like a regular girl who likes boys. And if you’re feeling like a boy and you like girls, then maybe you’re just a regular boy who likes girls. But then again, maybe not. It’s all a bit confusing, like I said.
- So, what if you’re born a boy but feel like a girl? And what if this girl-feeling person likes other boys? Are they gay? Some say no, because they are a girl liking a boy, even if their body started out different.
- And what about the other way around? A girl born body, but feels like a boy, and likes girls? Is that a straight boy liking girls? Again, some folks say yes.
- And then there’s them liking both boys and girls. What do you call that? They got all sorts of names for it now, “bi” this and “pan” that. Too many names if you ask me. Just like who you like, I say.
It’s like trying to figure out which end is up on a tangled ball of yarn. You got your “straight” folks, your “gay” folks, your “bi” folks, and now these “trans” folks. And then you gotta figure out how all them things mix and match. It’s enough to make your head spin.
I heard someone say it’s like this: your insides, that’s your gender, what you feel like. And your outsides, that’s your sex, what you’re born with. And then who you like, that’s something else entirely. So you got three things to juggle, not just two. No wonder it’s so complicated.
And you know what? Maybe it don’t matter so much what you call it. Maybe what matters is just being happy and finding someone who makes you happy, no matter what their outsides or insides are like. That’s what I say. Life’s too short to worry about all them labels.
But let’s get back to this “gay” thing. If you’re feeling like a girl and you like other girls, I guess that’s what they call a lesbian. And if you’re feeling like a boy and you like other boys, then that’s what they call gay. But if you’re “trans,” well, it depends on which way you’re feeling, I reckon. It ain’t easy, this stuff.
And you know, there’s more than just “gay” and “straight.” Some folks like both boys and girls. Some folks like anybody, no matter what. It’s a whole spectrum, they say. Like a rainbow, all different colors. And that’s alright, I guess. To each their own, that’s what I always say.
So, if you’re “trans” and you like boys, are you gay? Well, maybe. Maybe not. It depends on who you ask and how you feel. And honestly, maybe it don’t matter what anybody else thinks. What matters is how you feel and who you love. That’s the long and short of it, as far as I can see.
Just be yourself, that’s what I say. And if folks don’t like it, well, that’s their problem, not yours. Life’s too short to be worrying about what other people think. You just do what makes you happy and let the rest sort itself out.
And remember, you ain’t alone. There’s lots of folks out there feeling the same way you do. So don’t be afraid to be yourself, no matter what. That’s the most important thing, you see.
