Well, I’ll be darned! Someone wants to know about them offensive pick up lines, huh? Let me tell ya, I’ve heard a thing or two in my time, though I ain’t sure where half them youngsters get their ideas from these days. It’s a whole different world, I tell ya.
Now, what are these offensive pick up lines? From what I gather, they’re things folks say to try and, well, “get to know” someone better, but in a way that ain’t always so polite. Some of ’em are downright dirty, the kind that’d make your grandma blush. Others are just plain silly, the kind that make you roll your eyes so hard you see the back of your head.
- Some folks say a good pick up line, even a bit of an offensive one, can “break the ice”. That means it helps start a conversation, you know? Like, if you say somethin’ so out there and ridiculous, the other person just has to say somethin’ back, even if it’s just to tell you you’re crazy.
- And then there’s them “icebreaker questions”. Instead of sayin’ somethin’ strange, you ask somethin’ strange. Like, “what are two truths and a lie about yourself?”. I don’t know why folks do it, but they do.
Now, some of these lines, they use humor. They try to be funny, you see? But sometimes, the humor falls flat, and it just sounds rude or creepy. It all depends on how you say it, I guess, and who you’re sayin’ it to. And a whole lot of confidence, like them young fellas on TV. They can say just about anythin’ and get away with it, but if my old man tried some of that, well, let’s just say he’d be sleepin’ on the couch!
I’ve heard some real stinkers, let me tell ya. Some so bad they make you cringe. They call ’em “terrible pick up lines” or “cringey” ones. I heard tell there’s whole websites and such dedicated to ’em. Folks share the worst ones they’ve heard, like it’s some kind of competition. Makes no sense to me, but then again, a lot of things young folks do don’t make sense.
But some, they say these lines are “so corny they’re good”. I guess that means they’re so bad, they’re funny. Like a joke that’s so dumb, you can’t help but laugh. And sometimes, that’s all you need to get a conversation goin’. If you’re lookin’ for a relationship, or just wanna meet someone new, I hear tell these lines can sometimes work. Though, I still think a good “hello” and a smile works best, but what do I know? I’m just an old woman.
Dirty pick up lines, now those are a whole other story. I ain’t gonna repeat any of them here, ’cause my ears are still burnin’ from the last time I heard one. But let’s just say they ain’t for the faint of heart. And you gotta be real careful who you use ’em on, ’cause you could end up with a slap in the face, or worse. They say you need a “blend of humor and confidence” to pull ’em off, but I think you need a whole lot of somethin’ else too, and I ain’t sure what that is. Maybe a screw loose?
