Okay, so, the other day, I found myself wondering about something pretty basic – do you have to be 18 to buy condoms? I mean, it’s one of those things you kinda assume you know, but then again, do you really? So, I decided to do a little experiment and see for myself.

First off, I went online and did a quick search. Most places said there’s no age restriction for buying condoms in the US. That’s cool, but I wanted to see it in action. So I grabbed my keys and headed out to the local drugstore.
Walked in, made my way to the family planning aisle – you know the one. There they were, in all shapes and sizes. I picked up a box, just a regular one, nothing fancy. I took a deep breath and headed to the counter.
- Stood in line, feeling a bit like a secret agent on a mission.
- Got to the cashier, a young guy, probably not much older than me.
- Placed the box on the counter, trying to look all casual.
He scanned it, bagged it, and told me the price. No questions, no ID checks, nothing. Just another everyday transaction. I paid, took my purchase, and walked out.
Experiment Results
So, there you have it. At least in my little experiment, buying condoms was as easy as buying a candy bar. No age checks, no weird looks, just a simple purchase. Seems like all that worry was for nothing. It’s good to know that these things are accessible to anyone who needs them, no matter their age. Stay safe, folks!
