- Used “Even Santa doesn’t make candy as sweet as you.” on a cashier at the grocery store. She blushed a little and said, “Aw, thank you.”
- My boldest move? Walking up to someone wrapping gifts and saying, “I’m like a Christmas present – you’ll love waking up to me.” That got a full-on laugh and a “You’re funny!”
The Results Are In
So, after a day of spreading holiday cheer (and awkwardness), what did I learn? Well, people generally appreciate a good laugh, even if it’s at a cheesy pick-up line. Some lines work better than others, of course. The key is to be confident, have fun with it, and don’t take it too seriously. Most people will play along.
Would I do it again? Probably. It was a fun little experiment, and hey, I got a few smiles and laughs out of it. Plus, it’s a great way to spread some holiday cheer. And who knows, maybe one of these days, a pick-up line will actually work… Miracles can happen at Christmas, right?
