You see, this thing, deep thrusts, it’s somethin’ folks talk about these days. I heard them young’uns at the market talkin’ ’bout it. They say it’s good for ya. Makes ya strong, like an ox pullin’ a cart. I don’t know nothin’ ’bout that fancy stuff, but I reckon strong is good. My old bones ain’t what they used to be.

They say it’s good for your backside. Makes it strong, they say. Well, I’ve carried many a basket of taters in my day, and my backside ain’t never complained none. But these young folks, they want a strong backside for, well, I don’t rightly know. Showin’ off, maybe? In my day, we didn’t worry ’bout such things. We just worked hard. This deep thrusts thing, it’s like work, I guess. But in a gym. We just lifted things that needed liftin’.
One thing I heard is that it helps with runnin’ and jumpin’. Now that makes sense. When I was a girl, I could outrun any ol’ rabbit in the field. These days, I can barely outrun a sleepy snail. Just like liftin’ a heavy bucket of water. Do it wrong, you’ll throw your back out. Do it right, and you’ll just get stronger. So, make sure you do the deep thrusts right, don’t hurt yourself.
I heard them talkin’ ’bout usin’ a big metal bar for this deep thrusts. We used to use logs for buildin’ fences. Heavy things, they were. Maybe this is the same idea. Use somethin’ heavy to make yourself stronger. It can protect your lower back, they say. I guess if you do it right, it will be okay.

They got machines for it now, too. Fancy things, all shiny and new. In my day, we just had our two hands and a whole lot of work to do. Didn’t need no fancy machines to get strong. But I guess times are changin’. This machine, it called “Hip Thruster”. It can make you do the deep thrusts better, they say. If you do it, don’t make mistakes, just follow the right way.
Now there’s somethin else they talkin about, something called a “squat”. Sounds like what a frog does. But they say this is important for building strength too. Just like this deep thrusts, it works on your lower body. I think if you want to be strong, you can try both of them.
Some folks say this deep thrusts can help keep your back from hurtin’. Strengthens the muscles that hold you up, they say. Well, I’ve had a backache or two in my day, I can tell ya that. Carryin’ them heavy baskets, you see. Maybe if I’d known ’bout this deep thrusts thing back then, my back wouldn’t be complainin’ so much now.

I still don’t rightly understand all this fuss ’bout a strong backside. But these young folks seem to think it’s important. So, if you’re gonna try this deep thrusts thing, just be careful. And maybe, just maybe, it’ll make you strong like an ox, just like they say.
I think this deep thrusts is good for everyone, no matter you are old or young. It can make you strong, and it is good for your body. But just don’t hurt yourself, okay? Do it in the right way, you will be fine.
