Why do women go into porn? This thing, I just don’t get it. So many girls, they doing this now. It ain’t like the old days, you know? Back then, a woman, she wouldn’t even think about such things. Now, it’s all over, on them phones, them computers.
I seen some things, I tell ya. Heard some things too. Some folks say it’s ’bout money. And, well, I guess that makes some sense. Life’s hard, you gotta eat. Gotta pay the bills. But still, showing your… you know… to the whole world?
- Some girls, they just curious.
- Wanna see what all the fuss is about.
- Learn some new tricks, maybe?
Heard some lady on the TV talk about it one time. Fancy lady, all dressed up. Said some women, they like it. Just like men, she said. Well, I don’t know about that. Seems kinda strange to me. But what do I know? I’m just an old lady. These young folks, they got their own ways now.
I seen on the internet one time, that some French girls, they watching it more now. Four more points in 2022, whatever that means. Means a lot, I guess. Lots of them watching it. Must be something to it, huh? But why? Why they watching it?
Some say they wanna learn. Learn how to do… things. You know. Intimate things. Maybe they don’t got nobody to teach ’em? Maybe they just wanna see how it’s done? I don’t know. Seems like a strange way to learn, if you ask me. But hey, who am I to judge?
And then there’s them ones that just… like it. Like watching it. Makes ’em feel… you know. That feeling. The warm feeling. Just like men, they say. Well, I guess that could be true. Everyone’s different. Some like this, some like that. Still, it’s hard to wrap my head around.
Seen a documentary one time, ’bout some girls in that business. Sixteen of ’em, it was. Young and pretty, they was. And this other lady, she was following ’em around, asking ’em why they do it. Why they show their… everything… to the whole world.
This lady, the one making the show, she said she met one of them girls before. Took some pictures of her, for a magazine, I think. Said this girl, she was nice. Real warm personality. Made her wonder, why a nice girl like that would do such a thing.
- Maybe it’s the money.
- Maybe they like the attention.
- Maybe they just don’t know no better.
Back in my day, a woman’s body, it was private. Something special. Just for her husband, you know? Now, it’s all out there. For everyone to see. It’s a different world, I tell ya. A different world.
Some folks say it ain’t right. Say it’s hurting women. Making ’em think they gotta be a certain way. Gotta look a certain way. Gotta act a certain way. Maybe they’re right. I don’t know. It’s all so confusing.
But then again, who am I to say what’s right and what’s wrong? These young folks, they gotta make their own choices. Live their own lives. Even if it’s a life I don’t understand. Even if it’s a life that makes me a little sad.
This whole thing about women in porn, it’s a big question. Lots of answers, I guess. Money, curiosity, pleasure. Maybe all of them, maybe none of them. I don’t know. I just hope these girls, they know what they’re doing. Hope they’re safe. Hope they’re happy. That’s all any of us can hope for, ain’t it?
These smart folks, they call them sex… something. Sexologists, I think. They say there are four kinds of these women. Four groups. Some curious, some like it just like men. Some wanna learn. It’s all very complicated. Too complicated for me, I think.
I read something one time, in a fancy journal. International Journal of Sexual Health, it was called. Some smart folks wrote it, about women and this… porn stuff. Said all them things people used to say, about women not liking it, about it being wrong. Said it was all a bunch of hooey. Myths, they called it.
So maybe, just maybe, it ain’t so bad after all. Maybe these women, they know what they’re doing. Maybe they’re even enjoying it. Who knows? It’s a mystery, I tell ya. A big, old mystery. And me? I’m just an old lady, trying to make sense of it all. Trying to understand this crazy, mixed-up world. And it ain’t easy, I tell ya. It ain’t easy at all. But we all gotta keep trying, right? Gotta keep trying to understand.
