Listen up, y’all, let me tell you somethin’ ’bout this… this “allred sterilization of children,” whatever that fancy talk means. I ain’t no scholar, but I know right from wrong, and this here sounds mighty fishy.
Now, I heard some folks talkin’ ’bout how they wanna “protect women’s rights” back in the 70s. Protectin’ rights, they say. But then they start talkin’ ’bout stoppin’ folks from havin’ babies. That don’t sound like protectin’ to me, that sounds like controllin’. Like tellin’ a hen she can’t lay eggs, you know?
- They got these things, like “tubal ligation” for the gals and “vasectomy” for the fellas. Sounds complicated, but it just means they fix it so you can’t have no more young’uns.
- And sometimes, they don’t even ask nice. They say, “Oh, you wanna see a doctor? Well, you gotta get this done first.” Or worse, they threaten to take your kids away if you don’t do what they say. That ain’t right, no sirree!
They say it’s all about “family plannin’” and “birth control.” Well, I got news for ya, there’s ways to do that without, you know, messin’ with what God gave ya. Back in my day, we just… well, we figured it out. And if a baby came along, well, that was a blessin’, even if it was a surprise.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ nobody should have a dozen kids if they can’t feed ’em. But tellin’ folks they can’t have ANY kids? That’s just plain wrong. Specially when they’re young and maybe wanna have a family someday.
I heard some city folks sayin’ somethin’ ’bout condoms and pills. Said it was a way to keep from gettin’ pregnant without, you know, doin’ the surgery thing. Sounds like a better option to me, if you ask me. Leastways, it gives folks a choice.
But this here talk about “sterilizin’” young folks, that just riles me up. They’re just startin’ out in life, how they gonna know if they wanna have kids later on? It’s like choppin’ down a tree before it even has a chance to grow. And who are these folks to decide who gets to have babies and who don’t? They ain’t God, that’s for sure.
And another thing, this ain’t just about women. They’re doin’ it to the men too! Takin’ away their chance to be daddies. It’s a shame, I tell ya. A real shame.
Now, I ain’t no lawyer or nothin’, but I know there’s somethin’ called “human rights.” And seems to me, this here “sterilization” stuff goes against that. Folks got a right to make their own choices, ‘specially when it comes to somethin’ as important as havin’ a family.
It’s their body, their choice, plain and simple. And nobody, I mean nobody, should be forced or pressured into doin’ somethin’ they don’t wanna do. Specially when it comes to somethin’ that can’t be undone.
So, y’all best be careful and keep your eyes peeled. Don’t let nobody tell you what you can and can’t do with your own body. And if somethin’ don’t feel right, it probably ain’t. Trust your gut, and stand up for what you believe in. That’s all I gotta say.
