Okay, so today I wanted to dig into some quotes from Zootopia about equality. I’ve always loved that movie, and it got me thinking about how those messages are presented. So, I figured, why not make a little project out of it?

Getting Started
First things first, I needed to rewatch the movie. Gotta refresh my memory, right? So, I grabbed some snacks, settled in, and hit play. While watching, I kept a notepad handy to jot down any lines that stood out to me related to equality, prejudice, and breaking stereotypes.
Collecting the Quotes
It wasn’t as easy as I thought! I mean, the movie is packed with great lines, but I wanted to find the ones that really hit home on the equality theme. I ended up pausing and rewinding a bunch of times. Here are a few that I ended up focusing on:
- Judy Hopps: “It’s great to have dreams.”
- Clawhauser: “Just ’cause I’m a cheetah, don’t think I’m not a real cop” .
- Judy Hopps: “Life isn’t some cartoon musical where you sing a little song and all your insipid dreams magically come true. So let it go”.
Making Sense of It All
After getting my list of quotes, I spent some time just thinking about them. I googled for the Zootopia script, and wanted to figure out which part I could find online.
It’s one thing to hear a line in the movie, but it’s another to really think about what it means in the bigger picture. Like, that whole “anyone can be anything” thing – it sounds great, but the movie also shows how hard that can actually be because of stereotypes and biases.

I tried to find the quotes in the Zootopia script to copy more, then I found I only need a few, and these quotes were what I wanted.
Putting it all Together
So, that’s pretty much it! It wasn’t a super complicated project, more of a personal exploration. It just goes to show how much depth there is in a movie like Zootopia, and how those messages about equality can really make you think.
