So, I saw this phrase, “take your cake and eat it,” and I was like, what’s that all about? I mean, obviously, you eat a cake after you have taken a slice…duh. But I figured there had to be more to it. So, I started poking around, you know, just casual searching, nothing too intense.

My Little Experiment
I decided to actually, physically, play with the whole cake concept. I had a cake.
- Getting the Cake: A simple sponge cake, because, why not? Easy peasy.
- The “Taking”: I took a piece, put the rest of the cake in a container, you know, saving it for later.
- The “Eating”: Ate the slice I took. It was good.
Then I played around, trying to have a whole cake and eat a piece, so I put them together.
- I find another box which is the same size of my cake.
- I put my cake slice which I eat before into it.
- I make them like a whole cake.
- Now I have my cake and I can eat it!
So, that’s basically it! Hope you guys can find out a better way to “take your cake and eat it”. I will check the comments!
