Well, let me tell ya, all this fuss about that RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars finale, it’s got folks chatterin’ like hens in a coop. Now, I ain’t no expert, but I reckon I can tell ya what I heard.
They say they changed things up this time, somethin’ ’bout the way they do the endin’. Folks was expectin’ one thing, and they got another. Like when you bake a cake and the darn thing don’t rise right! Happens, don’t it?
- One girl, Kandy Muse, she was feelin’ real low about losin’. Poor thing, said she wanted to do somethin’ special for her song, somethin’ like that Lady Gaga, but they wouldn’t let her. Now, I don’t know why they’d do that, seems a shame to stifle a girl’s spirit.
- Then there’s all this talk about this “Global All Stars” thing. Sounds fancy, don’t it? Like them fellas who go to them Olympic things. Apparently, one of them queens, Vanity Vain, she spilled the beans ’bout it. Guess it’s a big deal.
Now, the real shebang was the last showdown. Four of them queens, all dolled up and ready to rumble. Alyssa from America, Kitty from across the pond, Kween Kong from down under, and that Nehellenia girl from Italy. They all had to dance and lip-sync to that “Bad Romance” song by Lady Gaga. Heard it on the radio, catchy tune.
And wouldn’t ya know it, Alyssa, that American gal, she took the crown. Queen of the… somethin’ somethin’ World, they called her. Good for her, I say. Takes a lot of gumption to get up there and strut your stuff like that.
This fella RuPaul, he’s the one who started all this. He dresses up like a woman, fancy dresses and makeup and all. Not my cup of tea, but to each their own. He even did some work for them makeup folks, raised money for sick folks. Guess he’s got a good heart, even if he does wear high heels.
So, that’s the gist of it. Some folks are happy, some ain’t. Some queens won, some lost. Same as life, ain’t it? Just gotta pick yourself up, dust yourself off, and keep on goin’. Like I always say, tomorrow’s another day.
But this whole fuss about the finale, changin’ things up, not lettin’ that Kandy girl do her thing… Well, it just ain’t right. Folks like things the way they are, don’t like change. Like my old apple pie recipe, don’t ya dare mess with it!
Anyway, that’s what I heard ’bout this Drag Race thing. Take it or leave it. I’m just a simple person, don’t understand all them fancy things. But I know what’s right and what’s wrong, and sometimes, I reckon, they just don’t do things right.
