Okay, here is a blog post about my experience with Planned Parenthood Whittier Health Center:

So, I recently had a reason to check out the Planned Parenthood in Whittier, the one on Greenleaf Ave. I needed some, uh, family planning stuff, and a friend told me this was the place to go. Honestly, I was a bit nervous at first. I’d heard all sorts of things about Planned Parenthood, and well, you know how people talk.
First thing I did was look them up. They were pretty easy to find, right there at 7655 Greenleaf Ave, Whittier. I saw they had different hours, like 8am to 4pm on Mondays, 8am to 5pm on Wednesdays. So, I picked a Wednesday and made an appointment. I called them, and the person on the phone was actually pretty nice and helpful. They asked me a few questions, nothing too personal, just to get an idea of what I needed. They said I could also book online, but I’m kind of old-school and prefer talking to a real person.
When I got there, I was expecting, I don’t know, something kind of cold and clinical. But it wasn’t like that at all! The place was clean and, dare I say, welcoming. They call it the Judith and Steaven Jones Health Center, which I thought was a nice touch. The staff at the front desk were friendly and got me checked in without any hassle.
I waited a little bit, but it wasn’t too bad. They had some pamphlets and stuff to read while you waited, which was actually kind of informative. They had information on birth control, STD testing, pregnancy, and all that jazz. I was there for birth control, and they had a ton of information about all the different options, which was overwhelming but in a good way. It’s good to know what’s out there, you know?
Then, I saw a healthcare provider. I called her a nurse, I am not sure she was a doctor or not. She was super nice, and we talked about what kind of birth control I was interested in. She explained everything really clearly, like the pros and cons of each method. She didn’t push me towards anything, which I appreciated. We decided on something that worked for me, and she gave me all the instructions and stuff I needed.

- Getting There: Finding the place was easy. It’s at 7655 Greenleaf Ave, Whittier, CA 90602.
- Making an Appointment: I called them, but you can also book online. The phone number is on their website, somewhere easy to find.
- The Atmosphere: It was way more welcoming than I expected. Clean, friendly, and not at all intimidating.
- The Staff: Everyone I interacted with was nice and helpful, from the front desk to the person I saw for my appointment.
- Services: They offer a bunch of stuff, like birth control, STD testing, pregnancy testing, and the morning-after pill.
- Hours: They’re open Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 8 AM, and Saturday from 8:00am to 12pm. Closed Tuesday and Sunday as far as I know.
Overall, I had a really good experience at the Planned Parenthood Whittier Health Center. It wasn’t scary or judgmental at all. If you need any of the services they offer, I definitely recommend checking them out. They made the whole process easy and comfortable, and I left feeling way more informed and confident about my choices.
