Okay, here’s my experience with Planned Parenthood in Annapolis, MD, told in a casual, blog-style format:

So, I needed to get some stuff checked out, you know, just regular health things. I’d heard about Planned Parenthood, but never actually been to one. I was kinda nervous, not gonna lie. I Googled “Planned Parenthood Annapolis MD” and found the location. It was pretty easy to find the address.
First thing I did was try calling.I needed more imformation。The phone rang like, a million times (okay, maybe like five), and finally, someone answered. The person on the phone was actually super nice and helpful. I just explained I was a new patient and wanted to make an appointment for a general check-up. They asked me some basic questions, nothing too invasive, and got me scheduled for the following week.
Making the Appointment
I am going to share my experience of making an appointment!
- Finding Information: I easily got the clinic’s phone number online.
- Calling the Clinic: Called the clinic and a friendly staff member .
- Scheduling: Made the appointment quickly for my preferred date and time.
My visit
When I got there, the place was… normal. Like, it didn’t feel scary or anything. It was just a regular medical office. I checked in at the front desk, filled out some paperwork (the usual stuff – name, address, insurance info, medical history). I was kinda worried they’d judge me, but everyone was really professional and respectful.
I waited in the waiting room for a bit. It wasn’t too long, maybe 15-20 minutes. They had some magazines and stuff, but I mostly just scrolled on my phone.

Then, a nurse called my name and took me back to an exam room. She did the basic stuff – took my blood pressure, weight, asked me about my general health. She was really chill and easy to talk to. I told her what I was there for, and she explained everything clearly.
I saw the doctor/nurse practitioner (I’m actually not sure which one it was, oops!). They were also super nice and professional. They did the exam, answered all my questions, and made me feel comfortable. I didn’t feel rushed at all.
Reflecting on the experience.
- Professional Staff: The medical staff were very professional and understanding.
- Comfortable Environment: The clinic had a clean and comfortable environment.
- Efficient Service: The process was smooth, and wait times were minimal.
After the exam, I checked out at the front desk. They explained the billing and insurance stuff (which is always a little confusing, but they made it as clear as possible). And that was it! I was in and out in probably less than an hour.
Overall, my experience with Planned Parenthood in Annapolis was way better than I expected. Everyone was kind, respectful, and professional. I felt like I was in good hands. If you’re looking for affordable healthcare, or just need a check-up, I’d definitely recommend checking them out. Don’t be nervous – they’re there to help!
