Okay, here’s my blog post about “Cousins Quotes”, written from my personal experience, just like the example:

So, I was messing around online today, totally procrastinating, and I stumbled upon this idea of collecting “cousins quotes.” I have a HUGE family, tons of cousins, and we’re all pretty close. Some are like siblings, others are more like… well, friendly acquaintances you see at Christmas. Anyway, I thought, “Hey, this could be fun!”
Getting Started (aka The Chaos Phase)
First, I opened up a blank Google Doc. Very high-tech, I know. I figured I’d just start dumping quotes in there as I found them. Then, I started Googling. You know, the usual: “cousins quotes,” “funny cousins quotes,” “sentimental cousins quotes.” I even tried “cousins quotes for Instagram” because, let’s be honest, that’s where half of this stuff ends up.
I found a bunch of websites, some were those quote-aggregator sites, others were like, lifestyle blogs with lists of quotes. I just started copying and pasting anything that seemed remotely relevant. My Google Doc quickly became a mess. A beautiful, chaotic mess of words.
Organizing the Madness
After about an hour of this, I realized I needed a system. My brain was starting to hurt. So, I created some categories:
- Funny – These were the ones that made me actually laugh out loud.
- Sweet – You know, the mushy, sentimental ones.
- Relatable – Quotes that just get the cousin relationship.
- For Pictures – Short and sweet ones, perfect for captions.
Then, I went back through the mess and started sorting everything into these categories. It was like untangling Christmas lights, but with words instead of tangled wires. Took a while, but it was strangely satisfying.

The Final Product (and What I Learned)
Finally, I had a somewhat organized document full of cousins quotes! It’s not perfect, and I’m sure I’ll keep adding to it, but it’s a start. I shared it with a few of my cousins to get their feedback, and they loved it! Some of them even sent me more quotes to add.
Honestly, the whole process was more fun than I expected. It made me think about all the good times I’ve had with my cousins, and it was a nice little trip down memory lane. Plus, now I have a go-to resource for Instagram captions. Win-win!
