Alright, so, I decided to try out this whole “mating press breeding” thing. I’d heard about it, seen some stuff, and figured, why not? Let’s dive in.

Getting Started
First, I had to get my hands on the right gear. It’s not exactly something you pick up at the local supermarket, you know? So, I did some digging, found a decent supplier, and placed my order. The waiting game was a bit of a pain, but hey, anticipation is half the fun, right?
When the package finally arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I ripped that thing open and started checking out the contents. Everything looked pretty solid, well-made, and ready to go.
The Actual Process
Okay, so here’s where things got interesting. I’d done my homework, watched some videos, read some guides, but nothing really prepares you for the real deal.
I carefully got everything placed.

- First used the tools.
- Then placed the items into the press, double and triple checked.
- Started to apply the pressure with hands, slowly at the beginning.
The main thing is to take it slow. You don’t want to rush things and end up with a mess, or worse, something broken. I started applying pressure gradually, keeping a close eye on everything. It was a bit nerve-wracking at first, I’m not gonna lie. I mean, you’re dealing with some pretty powerful forces here.
As I cranked it up, I could feel the tension building. The materials started to compress, and I could hear these little creaks and pops. Honestly, it was kind of satisfying. Like, you’re literally forcing things together, creating something new.
The Results
After what felt like forever, but was probably only a few minutes, I reached the maximum pressure. I held it there for a bit, just to make sure everything was good and settled, then slowly started to release the pressure.
And there it was. My first attempt at mating press breeding. Honestly? It looked pretty damn good. I carefully pulled the pressed items, inspected every corner, and checked the final result. Everything has been combined together.
It’s a learning process, for sure. But hey, I’m pretty stoked with how it turned out. Definitely going to be trying this again, maybe experimenting with different techniques and items. It’s kind of addictive, in a weird, constructive way.
