Alright, alright, let me tell ya ’bout this Lady Gaga stuff on that RuPaul drag show. My grandkids, they watch it, all that glitter and wigs, you know? So, I hear this Gaga music, real loud, and them fellas, or ladies, or whatever they are, they dancin’ and lip-synchin’ like crazy.
This Global All Stars thing, it’s a big deal, I guess. They got queens from all over, different countries and all that. My grandkid told me they competin’, like, for a crown or somethin’. And this Lady Gaga, she’s a big part of it, seems like.
They play her songs, like that “Bad Romance” one. Heard that one on the radio before, real catchy, even for an old lady like me. Them drag queens, they really get into it, stompin’ their feet and wavin’ their arms. It’s somethin’ to see, I tell ya.
- First off, you got this RuPaul’s Drag Race show, been on for a long time, they say. Lots of seasons, lots of queens.
- Then they got this All Stars version, where the queens who didn’t win the first time come back for another shot.
- And now, it’s Global All Stars, so it’s queens from all over the world. Big competition, big drama, big hair!
My grandkid was tellin’ me about this one queen, Alyssa Edwards, I think her name was. She won the whole thing, apparently. Good for her, I say. Takes guts to go up there and do that, even with all that makeup on.
They had to do this lip-synchin’ thing, that’s where they pretend to sing the song. And they used Lady Gaga’s music for the final one, that “Bad Romance” again. Must be a popular song, even with the young folks. I reckon Gaga’s got some pipes on her, even if I don’t understand half the words she’s singin’. It’s all “rah rah ah ah ah, roma roma ma,” but it gets them movin’, that’s for sure.
This whole drag thing, it’s a bit strange to me, I ain’t gonna lie. But hey, they ain’t hurtin’ nobody. And if they wanna dance around to Lady Gaga, well, that’s their business. It’s entertainment, I guess, like them soap operas on TV. A little bit of drama, a little bit of laughin’, and a whole lot of sparkly outfits.
I heard somethin’ about other songs too, not just Gaga’s. Someone was singin’ a Cher song, “Dark Lady” it was called. Apparently, one of the queens didn’t know the words, messed up the whole thing. See, even them fancy queens make mistakes. Just like the rest of us, I reckon.
This show, it’s on somethin’ called Paramount Plus. Don’t know what that is, some kind of fancy TV channel, I guess. My grandkids, they watch it on their phones and computers. Technology these days, it’s too much for me. I’m just happy with my old TV and my stories.
So yeah, Lady Gaga music on RuPaul’s Drag Race Global All Stars. It’s a thing. The kids like it, the queens like it, and even this old lady can tap her foot to it every now and then. It’s loud, it’s flashy, and it’s definitely somethin’ different. But hey, that’s what makes the world go ‘round, right? Different folks doin’ different things. As long as they ain’t causin’ trouble, I say let ’em be.
And that’s the whole shebang about Lady Gaga and them drag queens, as far as I can tell. Don’t ask me too many questions, ’cause that’s all I know. Now, if you’ll excuse me, I gotta go make some supper. This talkin’ about pop music and drag queens has made me hungry.
