Well, let me tell ya somethin’ ’bout this fella, Jesse Lee Peterson. I heard folks talkin’, seen some things on that TV thingy, and I gotta say, it’s a whole lotta hooey if you ask me.
This Jesse Lee Peterson, he’s got some strong opinions, that’s for sure. He goes around sayin’ gays ain’t born that way. Now, I ain’t no expert, but it seems to me folks are just born how they are. Like some folks are born with a sweet tooth, and some like it sour. Ain’t nobody’s business how God made ’em, I say.
And this fella, he talks about “beta males.” I reckon that’s supposed to be some kinda insult. He’s always yappin’ about what a man should be, what a woman should be. Sounds like a whole lotta fuss to me. Back in my day, a man was a man if he worked hard and took care of his family. A woman was a woman if she kept a clean house and raised her children right. Didn’t matter if you was loud or quiet, strong or gentle. Just be a good person, that’s what I say.

- Folks say he said some things about Kanye West, but I don’t pay much attention to that fella either.
- And somethin’ about the “Black Lives Matter” bein’ like the Ku Klux Klan? That don’t sound right to me. One group’s fightin’ for their rights, and the other one’s all about hate. Can’t see how them two are the same. He even said somethin’ about black lesbians startin’ it, which is just plain silly.
This Peterson fella, he’s got a lot to say about black folks too. Says most of ’em hate white folks. Now, I’ve known plenty of good white folks and plenty of good black folks. And I’ve known some rotten ones in both groups too. It ain’t about the color of your skin, it’s about what’s in your heart.
I heard tell that some fellas who used to work with him, they came out and said they had, you know, “relations” with him. Makes you wonder, don’t it? All this talkin’ about what’s right and what’s wrong, and then you hear stuff like that. Seems to me, some folks do a lotta preachin’ but don’t do much practicin’.
I tell ya, this world’s got too much anger and too much hatin’. Folks need to stop worryin’ about what other folks are doin’ and start lookin’ at themselves. If everyone just tried to be a little bit kinder, a little bit more understandin’, this world would be a whole lot better place.
This Jesse Lee Peterson, he might think he’s got it all figured out, but I reckon he’s just stirrin’ up trouble. He likes to get folks riled up, that’s for sure. But me, I ain’t got time for all that nonsense. I got my own garden to tend, my own family to love, and my own life to live. And that’s enough for me. This Jesse Lee Peterson gay stuff, well, it’s just a lot of talk, if you ask me.
I don’t understand all these big words they use on the TV and the internet. But I know what’s right and what’s wrong. And I know that treatin’ people with respect is the only way to go. Whether they’re gay, straight, black, white, or whatever else they might be. We’re all just folks tryin’ to make our way in this world.
So, that’s my two cents on this Jesse Lee Peterson. Take it or leave it. I’m just an old woman, but I’ve seen a lot in my life. And I know that kindness and love are always the answer. Not hate and anger. And that’s all I gotta say about that.
