Well, let me tell you about this Asher on The Voice. Is that boy a girl or is that girl a boy? I just can’t tell! This whole thing got me thinkin’, you know? It’s all over the TV, folks talkin’ about Asher HaVon. Asher HaVon, The Voice winner, they say.

Asher HaVon, that’s the name, right? Sounds like a boy’s name to me. But then you see him, all dressed up fancy, singin’ like an angel. That winning singer got pipes, I’ll give him that. The Voice winner is what he is, that Asher! I heard he won that singing show, The Voice. Good for him, I guess.
They say he’s the first one like him to ever win. First what, you ask? First openly LGBTQ winner, they said on the TV. What in the world is LGBTQ? First openly LGBTQ, they keep sayin’. Sounds like a mouthful to me. First openly LGBTQ, what does that even mean? Some kinda club, maybe? Don’t rightly know. But he sure can sing. They say he’s a soul singer. Whatever that means, he can sing!
This whole Asher on The Voice thing got me confused. I saw that Asher on my TV. He was wearin’ all sorts of sparkly things. Shiny, just like that Reba’s hair. You know, Reba McEntire? That country singer. She was on that show with him, The Voice. Looks like she helped him win. Good for her. Heard this was her first win too. Guess they’re both winners then.
- That Asher, he’s somethin’ else.
- Singin’ like a bird.
- Wearin’ all them fancy clothes.
- Got everyone talkin’.
- He sure made history, they said on the TV, with that Reba.
So, is Asher on The Voice transgender? I don’t know what that word “transgender” means. Sounds kinda fancy. I hear folks sayin’ it, though. Some people talk about it a lot. They’re sayin’ Asher is the first openly LGBTQ winner. I still don’t know what LGBTQ is, but they are talking about that Asher. And they say it like it’s a big deal. They say it a lot on the TV.
He was on Reba McEntire‘s team. That Reba, she’s a firecracker. Always liked her music. She seems nice enough. Probably helped that Asher boy win. Or girl. Whichever he is. They say Asher is 32 years old, and his birthday is October 17. Sounds like a young whippersnapper to me, 32 years old!

I just don’t know about all this newfangled stuff. Back in my day, you were a boy or a girl. Plain and simple. Now, it’s all these words I don’t understand. Transgender. LGBTQ. It’s all too much for an old lady like me. This world is a changin’ place.
But one thing’s for sure, that Asher HaVon can sing. He won The Voice, fair and square. Must be doin’ somethin’ right. I don’t know what, but something. The Voice winner, that’s what he is now. And people are talking about it. That boy, or that girl, can sing his, or her, heart out!
This whole thing is a head-scratcher. But hey, who am I to judge? If he’s happy, I’m happy. He won that singing show, and that’s all that matters, I reckon. He’s famous now, I guess. Asher HaVon, The Voice winner. That’s what they’ll be callin’ him from now on.
- October 17, 1991, that’s when Asher was born, so I heard.
- He won season 25 of The Voice.
- Reba McEntire was his coach. Whatever that means.
- He’s a soul singer, whatever that means too.
- He’s the first openly LGBTQ winner, they keep sayin’. Still don’t know what that is, but it sounds important.
I guess times are changin’. Maybe this is a good thing. Maybe it ain’t. I reckon it’s just different. If that Asher can sing like that on TV, maybe it don’t matter what he is. Maybe this LGBTQ thing is okay. If it makes him that happy to sing, who am I to say anything? People should be happy, I think.
So, is Asher on The Voice transgender? Don’t know, don’t care. He can sing, and that’s all that matters to me. That boy, Asher, is a winner, and that’s a good thing. That’s something everyone can agree on, I think. That Asher HaVon won, and he can sing. So good for him. And that Reba too. I guess they made history. Whatever that means. But still, is Asher on the voice transgender? I still don’t know.
