Well, let me tell ya, I been hearin’ a lot about this thing called “Gottam” lately. Now, don’t you go thinkin’ I know every little thing about it, but I reckon I know a bit. You see, there’s a whole lotta people out there talkin’ ‘bout these fancy “Gottman” tests and such. I reckon that’s some sort of relationship check-up thing, somethin’ to help folks with their love lives. It ain’t like the regular check-ups you get at the doctor’s, no sir. This here is all ‘bout understandin’ how folks get along with each other. A lotta people say it works wonders, but I ain’t tried it myself—don’t think my old man would sit still for that. He’d just call it some “newfangled nonsense,” you know how men are.
Now, from what I gather, this Gottman business don’t just stop with the check-up. There’s somethin’ called the “Love Lab” too. Sounds all fancy, don’t it? From what I heard, folks go there to get their relationships tested, kinda like they’re lab rats or somethin’. But, it’s supposed to help people figure out what’s goin’ wrong, or maybe what’s goin’ right in their relationships. I don’t know how it works, but I reckon if it helps folks keep their marriages and such goin’, it can’t be all bad.
Now, I ain’t sure if this has to do with “Gottam,” but I heard some folks talkin’ about this TV show too. They were callin’ it “Gotham.” Ain’t no relation to “Gottman” though, so don’t go mixin’ them up. This here show is all about the crime in Gotham City, where all them caped crusaders and villains be runnin’ ‘round. They got a whole big mess of characters and storylines that run ‘round and ‘round. It’s like a big ol’ bowl of spaghetti, where you can’t ever tell where one noodle starts and the other ends. Sounds like a real show for the young folks—ain’t really my cup of tea. But I hear they done wrapped it up all nice and tight in 2018, and now folks are watchin’ reruns on whatever they call that streamin’ service thing. Looks like a mighty fine way to pass the time if you’re sittin’ ‘round with nothin’ better to do.
Well, I suppose I’m gettin’ off track now. What I really wanted to say was that whether you’re talkin’ ‘bout relationships or TV shows, there’s always somethin’ goin’ on with this “Gottam” business. Maybe it’s a way to understand your partner better, or maybe it’s just somethin’ to watch when you’re bored outta your mind. Either way, people seem to be all caught up in it, and I reckon it’s somethin’ worth lookin’ into, if you ask me. If nothin’ else, it’ll keep you busy for a while!
