Okay, so today I wanted to figure out what type of music is most common among bisexuals. It’s a random thought, I know, but I was curious. First, I tried to recall if any of my bisexual friends had mentioned their favorite music genres.
Then, I jumped online. I spent some time reading through forums and articles. Some sources mentioned the importance of music in lesbian and gay cultures, so I figured it might be similar for bisexuals. A few people were talking about how many pop stars are open about their bisexuality these days, which got me thinking about the connection.
I decided to focus on identifying some common themes. I saw a lot of variety in the responses – people mentioned everything from rock and pop/rock to Gothic rock, coldwave, lo-fi, j-rock, k-pop, rb, classical music, and even thrash metal. One person specifically mentioned they liked Muse, MGMT, The Strokes, Mother Mother, IDKHBTFM, and of Monsters and Men. Another mentioned they enjoyed symphonic metal and that Amaranthe was their favorite. Someone else said they were mostly into thrash metal and NWOBHM, which I had to look up – it stands for New Wave of British Heavy Metal.
I started to realize that maybe there isn’t one specific genre that’s most common among bisexuals. It seemed like people’s tastes were all over the place, just like with any other group. But I did notice that a lot of people mentioned pop music in some form or another. I read that pop music often has repeated choruses and hooks, short to medium-length songs, and rhythms you can dance to. It also borrows elements from other styles like rock, urban, dance, and Latin.
After that, I tried using one of those online music genre finder tools. You just enter the artists you like, and it’s supposed to tell you about your music personality and taste. It was kind of fun, but I’m not sure how accurate it really is.
My Findings
- Variety: Just like any other group, bisexuals listen to a wide range of music genres.
- Pop Influence: Pop music, with its catchy tunes and diverse influences, seems to be pretty popular.
- Individual Tastes: Ultimately, it comes down to individual preferences. There’s no single genre that defines bisexuals’ musical tastes.
So, that’s what I found out today. It wasn’t exactly a scientific study, but it was interesting to explore. I guess the main takeaway is that music taste is personal, no matter your sexual orientation. Who would have thought, huh?
