Alright, so you’re askin’ me “am I trans?” Well, I ain’t no doctor or fancy pants expert, but I can tell ya a thing or two about feelin’ like you don’t quite fit in. It’s like wearin’ shoes that are too small, you know? Always pinchin’ and uncomfortable.

First off, what’s this “trans” thing all about anyway? From what I gather, it’s about how you feel deep down inside, whether you’re a man, a woman, or somethin’ else entirely. It ain’t got nothin’ to do with what you got “down there,” see? It’s all up here in your heart and your head.
Now, some folks, they feel like a man even though they were born lookin’ like a woman, or the other way around. And some folks, well, they don’t feel like either one, or maybe they feel like both. It’s a whole mess of different feelin’s, like a patchwork quilt.
- Do you feel like the clothes you’re supposed to wear just ain’t right? Like puttin’ on a scratchy wool sweater in the middle of summer?
- Do people callin’ you “Mr.” or “Ms.” make you squirm like you got ants in your pants?
- Do you look in the mirror and feel like the person starin’ back is a stranger?
If you’re noddin’ your head to any of this, then maybe, just maybe, you’re a little bit “trans.” But hold your horses, don’t go jumpin’ to conclusions yet. It ain’t somethin’ you figure out overnight, like bakin’ a pie. It takes time, like growin’ a good tomato.
Now, some folks, they go through all sorts of changes to make their outside match their inside. They might take medicines or have surgeries, you know, to look more like the man or woman they feel like. But that ain’t for everyone. Some folks are just happy bein’ themselves, however they are, and that’s just fine too. It’s like some folks like their coffee black, some like it with cream and sugar, ain’t no right or wrong way, just what suits you.
What really matters is feelin’ good in your own skin, feelin’ like you belong. And if you’re feelin’ lost and confused, well, that’s okay too. It’s like bein’ lost in the woods, you just gotta keep walkin’ till you find your way out.

There’s a whole bunch of folks out there feelin’ the same way you do. You ain’t alone, not by a long shot. It’s like a big ol’ family, and there’s always room at the table for one more. Findin’ folks who understand can make all the difference, like havin’ a good friend to lean on when times are tough.
So, “am I trans?” That’s a question only you can answer. Take your time, listen to your heart, and don’t let nobody tell you who you are or how you should feel. You’re the boss of your own life, like the captain of your own ship. Steer it whichever way makes you happy.
And remember, ain’t nothin’ wrong with bein’ different. Different is what makes the world interesting, like a garden with all sorts of flowers bloom in’. Be proud of who you are, no matter what. And if anyone tries to tell you otherwise, well, you just tell ’em to go jump in a lake.
This here ain’t somethin’ to be ashamed of. It’s just part of who you are, like the color of your eyes or the way you laugh. Embrace it, own it, and don’t let nobody dim your light.
So, there you have it. My two cents on this whole “trans” thing. Like I said, I ain’t no expert, just an old woman who’s seen a thing or two. But if you ask me, the most important thing is to be true to yourself, whoever that may be.
