Alright, so the other day I got this wild idea. You know how sometimes you see things that, well, they just remind you of a penis? I thought, why not make a whole blog post about it? So, I started brainstorming and decided to call it “Things That Look Like Penises”. Sounds catchy, right?
First thing I did was look around my own place. I grabbed my phone and started snapping pics of anything that even remotely resembled a, you know. A banana, obviously. A half-peeled one? Even better. My floor lamp, certain angles, definitely. Oh, and this one weird cactus I have? Total ringer. I took like, a dozen photos of that thing from different sides.
Then I thought, “I gotta go bigger.” So I hit the streets. I walked around my neighborhood, keeping my eyes peeled. A fire hydrant, a particularly curvy mailbox, even the way the branches on this one tree grew together. I started seeing them everywhere! I even ventured into a couple of stores, pretending to shop while secretly photographing some suggestively-shaped produce. I am sure some people saw me, it was so funny. I wonder what they thought.
But I didn’t stop there. Nature’s full of this stuff, I realized. So I took a trip to the local park. I found some interesting-looking mushrooms, I got a few good shots of tree trunks that were, shall we say, uniquely shaped. Also, there are flowers that are shaped like it. I spent the whole afternoon there, just wandering around with my camera. I know I looked like a crazy person, but it was worth it.
My Collection
After all that, I had a pretty solid collection of photos. I uploaded them to my computer, did a little editing to make the colors pop, and then I started writing. I wanted it to be funny, but also kind of informative. I did a bit of research. Turns out, this isn’t a new idea, haha.
- Ancient Greeks and Egyptians were apparently way into this stuff. They built all sorts of structures. Who knew?
- I also found this article that talked about how common it is for people to see these shapes in everyday objects. It’s like our brains are wired for it or something.
- I also found that there are many unique plants that bear flowers, fruits or with structures that look like it. How interesting!
Anyway, I put the whole thing together, added some witty captions, and hit “publish”. I was a little nervous about what people would think, but hey, life’s too short to be serious all the time, am I right? And you know what? People actually liked it! I got a bunch of comments and shares. It was a success! So, there you have it. That’s the story of how I made a blog post about things that look like penises, and it was way more fun than I expected.
