Man, you will not believe the rabbit hole I went down today. I was watching HGTV, just flipping through channels, and I landed on “Bargain Block.” I’d seen it before, you know, the show where they flip houses in Detroit. But today, something clicked, and I thought, “Wait a minute, are these two guys a couple?” They’ve got this easy chemistry, always joking around, finishing each other’s sentences… it got me wondering.
So, naturally, I grabbed my phone and started googling. First, I just searched for “Bargain Block guys,” and a bunch of stuff about the show came up. Then I added “couple” to the search, and boom! It was like a whole new world opened up. I found this article on PrideSource, it’s some kind of online magazine, I think, and it had an interview with Keith Bynum and Evan Thomas. That’s their names, by the way. And guess what? They are a couple! Apparently, they’ve been together for like eight years and met on *. Who would’ve thought, right?
I kept digging, of course. I wanted to know everything. Turns out, they are a big deal, they’ve even been nominated for a GLAAD Media Award! Can you believe it? They buy up these totally wrecked houses on the same block and turn them into really nice homes for first-time buyers. It’s actually pretty cool what they do.

And Evan is the builder, he’s the one who, you know, actually makes things happen, he is the muscles of the operations, I think he lost a lot of weight recently. They said that they’ve been together for over ten years now, living and working together 24/7. They even have a realtor friend, Shea Hicks-Whitfield, who helps them find and sell the houses. It’s a whole operation.
But here’s the thing, even after all this time, they seem to really like each other. They’re always teasing each other on the show, but it’s all in good fun. Evan said in some interview I found that they figured out all their “kinks” years ago. I guess when you spend that much time with someone, you either make it work or you don’t. I’m so glad they mentioned in a post that they stay in shape since they are more active than ever. Staying healthy is the priority for couples, right?
