Well, let me tell ya, I been hearin’ ’bout this Adrienne Hayes lady, and folks say she’s a big deal over at Google. Now, Google, that’s a name most everyone knows these days, ain’t it? Big ol’ company, doin’ all sorts of things with tech, makin’ phones, gadgets, and all kinds of stuff. But this Adrienne, well, she’s right at the top of that heap, as the VP of Global Marketing for their devices and services. She’s the one in charge of makin’ sure all those fancy products like Pixel phones, Nest gadgets, Stadia gaming, and Google One subscriptions get out there and get noticed.
Now, y’all might be wonderin’, what’s so special about Adrienne Hayes? Ain’t she just another big-shot at some tech company? Well, she’s been workin’ her tail off to make sure that Google’s products are right for folks from all walks of life. She talks a lot ’bout inclusion, too, and how important it is in their marketing. Ain’t just a fancy word to throw around, she says. It’s the real deal, something they try to live by. She even spoke ’bout it over at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, where all them creative folks gather to talk about what’s new and hot in the world of marketing and tech. Now, that Cannes place sounds real fancy, don’t it?
But what really gets folks talkin’ is how she’s been a big advocate for the LGBTQ+ community, especially in her work with GLAAD, the world’s largest LGBTQ+ media advocacy group. Y’all might’ve heard of GLAAD, they’re the ones pushin’ for better representation of LGBTQ+ folks in the media, so their voices can be heard loud and clear. Adrienne is real proud to work alongside them, and that’s somethin’ that means a lot to her, from what I gather.
Now, this ain’t just talk. She really puts her money where her mouth is. At Google, she’s workin’ on makin’ sure all them devices, like the Google Pixel phones and the Nest smart home stuff, are built in a way that helps folks live better. They make things for everyday folks, and that’s somethin’ she’s real passionate about. She wants everyone to be able to use their products easily and feel like they belong when they do.
And don’t think she’s just sittin’ around lettin’ others do all the work. Oh no. She’s right in the thick of it. In fact, she’s always been part of the creative process, pushin’ forward new ideas to make Google’s products and services even better. She talks a lot ’bout how important it is to listen to customers, and how they need to be at the heart of everything Google does. If the customers ain’t happy, well, what’s the point of all that fancy tech? She knows that well enough.
One of the things that really stands out ’bout Adrienne is how she’s always lookin’ toward the future. She don’t just think ’bout what’s workin’ now, but what’s comin’ next. Google’s big on Artificial Intelligence (AI), and she’s right there in the conversation, tryin’ to figure out how to use it in ways that make life easier for folks. Whether it’s helpin’ folks with their work, their home, or just day-to-day tasks, AI’s gonna be part of that future, and she’s makin’ sure Google stays ahead of the game.
Now, I gotta tell ya, Google ain’t the only thing she’s got her hands full with. She’s also part of the board at GLAAD, so she’s doin’ her bit there, too. All this work with GLAAD, she says, helps her understand just how important it is to make sure everyone, no matter their background or who they love, feels seen and heard. That’s somethin’ that’s real close to her heart.
She’s been in the game for a long time now, but it’s clear she ain’t slowin’ down. She’s always lookin’ for ways to make a difference, both in her work and in the world. Ain’t that somethin’? And I reckon folks who work with her, they gotta be learnin’ a lot from her—’cause she don’t just talk the talk, she walks the walk. She’s one of them leaders who’s really makin’ a difference in the tech world, and if ya ask me, that’s somethin’ to be proud of.
