Lookie here, this Javicia girl, she’s somethin’ else on the TV, ain’t she? Folks keep askin’ about her, wonderin’ if she’s got a fella. Well, let me tell ya what I heard, the way I understand it.
Now, this Javicia Leslie, she ain’t just any gal. She’s on the tee-vee, playin’ pretend and makin’ folks believe she’s all sorts of things. Born over in Germany, if ya can believe it, to a soldier family. Moved to Maryland when she was a little tyke, growin’ up just like any other kid, ‘cept maybe she had bigger dreams, ya know?
She went off to college, Hampton University, they say. Learned a bunch, I reckon. Then, she packed her bags and headed out to Los Angeles, big city with all them bright lights and movie stars. Wanted to be one herself, I guess. And wouldn’t ya know it, she did it! Started gettin’ parts, showin’ up on the tee-vee, makin’ a name for herself.
Heard she’s on some show called “The Family Business” and another one, “God Friended Me.” Don’t ask me what they’re about, I ain’t got time for all that watchin’. But folks seem to like her, talk about her like she’s somethin’ special.
- She’s got this big role, playin’ Batwoman. Yep, a lady bat-man. Who’d a thought?
- They call her “Batwoman 2.0” on the show. Sounds fancy, don’t it?
- She even showed up on “The Flash,” another one of them superhero shows. Seems like she’s doin’ alright for herself.
Now, about that husband everyone’s askin’ about. Well, ain’t heard nothin’ about her havin’ a man. But, and here’s the kicker, she says she’s bisexual. Means she likes the fellas and the gals, I reckon. Good for her, livin’ her life how she wants. Ain’t none of my business who she loves, long as she’s happy.
She’s a Christian, they say, and she’s into that Muay Thai fightin’ stuff. Kickin’ and punchin’, gets her exercise I suppose. Gotta stay fit for all that superhero stuff, jumpin’ around and savin’ the day.
Folks wanna know every little thing about these tee-vee stars, but really, it ain’t our concern, is it? She’s out there workin’, makin’ a livin’, just like the rest of us. If she’s got a husband, or a wife, or nobody at all, it’s her own deal. We should just enjoy her actin’ and leave her be.
But, I get it, people are curious. It’s human nature, I suppose. We see someone on the tee-vee, and we think we know ’em, like they’re part of our family. But they ain’t. They’re just people doin’ a job, puttin’ on a show for us.
So, this Javicia Leslie, she’s a busy gal. Actin’, fightin’, livin’ her life. And if she finds someone to share it with, good for her. Until then, we can just watch her on the tee-vee and enjoy the stories she tells. Ain’t nothin’ wrong with that.
