Okay, so it’s getting close to Christmas, and I really wanted to do something special for my boyfriend this year. I thought, what’s more heartfelt than a good old-fashioned letter? Not an email, not a text, but a real, handwritten letter. So I decided to pour my heart out onto paper and send him a Christmas letter.
First, I went to buy some stationery. I picked out some nice paper, a special kind with a bit of a texture, not just your regular printer paper. And, of course, I got a festive envelope, the red one, you know, to really get into the Christmas spirit.
Then came the hard part – actually writing the thing. I sat down at my desk, pen in hand, and just stared at the blank page for a while. I mean, where do you even start? I wanted it to be perfect. I made several drafts, crumpled them up and threw them away.
- First, I wrote about all the fun times we’ve had this year.
- Then, I moved on to how much he means to me.
- And of course, I added some wishes for the new year and what I hoped for us in the future.
It took a few hours, but I finally finished a draft I was happy with. I read it over a couple of times, made a few tweaks here and there, and then began the process of copying it onto the good stationery. I took my time with this part, because my handwriting isn’t exactly the best, and I didn’t want it to look like a rushed mess.
Once I was done, I folded the letter carefully and slipped it into the red envelope. I even added a little Christmas sticker on the back because, why not? It just made it feel extra special.
Then, the final step: mailing it. I walked to the post office, bought a stamp, and dropped it into the mailbox. It felt good, like I had really accomplished something. I really hope he likes it. It was a lot of effort, but I think it was worth it. A handwritten letter just feels so much more personal and meaningful, you know?
Now, I can’t wait for him to receive it and see his reaction. I imagine he will be surprised and happy. This Christmas, we will be more enjoyable. Fingers crossed!
