Alright, let’s talk about this Trump fella and whether he’s gonna kick out the gays. Folks been yappin’ about it, so I figured I’d throw in my two cents, ya know? Now, I ain’t no fancy politician or nothin’, just an old woman who’s seen a thing or two.
Will Trump deport gays? That’s the big question everyone’s askin’. Honestly, nobody really knows for sure. He’s a bit of a wild card, that one. Says one thing one day, does another the next. Makes it hard to keep up, I tell ya.
Some folks say he will, some folks say he won’t. I heard tell that some of them high-up folks, the ones with all the power, they ain’t too fond of the gays. And Trump, well, he likes to keep them happy, I reckon. So, maybe he’ll do what they want.
But then again, Trump, he’s got his own way of doin’ things. He might just up and decide he ain’t gonna do it. He’s like a stubborn mule, that one. Once he gets an idea in his head, it’s hard to change his mind.
- What Trump has said in the past: Now, I ain’t been followin’ every word that comes outta his mouth, but I heard he ain’t always been too kind to the gays. Said some things that ruffled some feathers, ya know? But then again, he says a lot of things. Hard to tell what he really means sometimes.
- What the law says: There’s laws and whatnot, I guess. Supposed to protect people, no matter who they love. But laws can be tricky things. Folks can always find a way around ’em if they really want to.
- What other people are saying: I hear all sorts of things from folks. Some sayin’ he’s gonna round ‘em all up and ship ‘em off. Others sayin’ he ain’t got the power to do that. It’s all just a bunch of noise, if you ask me.
It’s a real mess, this whole thing. Makes my head spin just thinkin’ about it. I remember a time when folks just minded their own business. Didn’t matter who you loved, as long as you were a good person. Now everyone’s got an opinion, and they ain’t afraid to shout it from the rooftops.
This “Don’t Say Gay or Trans” stuff, I heard about that too. Seems like some folks don’t want kids learnin’ about gay people. I don’t get it myself. Love is love, ain’t it? Doesn’t matter if it’s a man and a woman, or two men, or two women. As long as they’re happy, that’s all that matters.
Then there’s all this talk about “protections” and “rights.” Sounds fancy, but I ain’t sure what it all means. I guess it means folks got the right to be who they are, love who they love, without gettin’ hassled for it. Seems like a simple thing, but I guess it ain’t so simple these days.
And this Obama fella, I heard he did some things for the gays. And Trump, he came along and undid some of them things. It’s like a back-and-forth game with these politicians. They just like to mess with things, I think. Keep folks on their toes, ya know?
So, will Trump deport gays? Like I said, I don’t have a crystal ball. But from what I’ve seen and heard, it’s hard to say. He might, he might not. It all depends on which way the wind blows, I reckon. And with Trump, you never know which way the wind’s gonna blow. He’s about as predictable as a squirrel in a cornfield.
But I tell you this, it ain’t right to treat folks bad just ’cause they’re different. We’re all God’s children, ain’t we? We should love each other, not hate each other. That’s what my mama always told me, and it’s good enough for me.
So, whatever happens, I hope folks can find a way to get along. This country’s got enough problems without fightin’ over who loves who. We need to stick together, ya know? That’s the only way we’re gonna get through this mess.
And as for Trump, well, he’ll do what he’s gonna do. We can yap all we want, but it ain’t gonna change his mind. All we can do is wait and see. And pray, maybe. Pray that he does the right thing. Pray that he remembers that we’re all human beings, deserving of respect and kindness. That’s all I gotta say about that.
In the end, it’s all a big ol’ question mark. Will he or won’t he? Nobody knows for sure. We just gotta wait and see what happens, and hope for the best. And while we’re waitin’, maybe we can all try to be a little kinder to each other. That’s somethin’ we can all do, no matter what Trump decides.
