Okay, so I needed to figure out if I was pregnant or not. I was kinda freaking out, not gonna lie. My period was late, and I just had this feeling, you know? So, I decided to get a pregnancy test.

First, I went to the store. I actually went to a few different ones, like a supermarket, and a couple of drugstores like CVS, and even Target. It was a bit overwhelming because there are so many different brands and types. Some say they can detect pregnancy super early, like five days before your missed period. Others are just the basic kind. And the prices, man, they range from a few bucks to like twenty dollars or more.
I ended up grabbing a couple of different ones. I got a cheaper one from the supermarket, their own brand, because I read online that they’re just as good as the fancy ones. I also picked up a Clearblue one, just because it’s a well-known brand and I felt like I could trust it more. The Clearblue one said it could give a result in one minute if I was testing on the day of my missed period or after. It also said to wait three minutes to confirm a “Not Pregnant” result, or if I was testing before my missed period. Mine was already late, so I figured one minute was all I needed.
Once I got home, I took a deep breath and went into the bathroom. I decided to try the cheaper test first, just in case I messed it up somehow. The instructions were pretty straightforward. You either pee directly on the stick or you can pee in a cup and dip the stick in. I chose the cup method because I didn’t want to make a mess.
I set the timer on my phone and waited. Those were the longest three minutes of my life, I swear. I kept glancing at the test, then looking away, then glancing back. Finally, the timer went off.
I picked up the test and there it was…two lines. Two freaking lines! That meant I was pregnant. I couldn’t believe it. I grabbed the Clearblue test and did that one too, just to be sure. Same result. Two lines, clear as day.

I was in shock for a while, just staring at those two tests. Then a whole bunch of emotions hit me: excitement, fear, nervousness, joy, everything all at once. I still don’t know what’s in the future, but I’ll figure it out, I guess. It’s just wild how a little stick can change your life, isn’t it?
