My Trip to Planned Parenthood in Pikesville
Alright, so I needed to get some stuff checked out, you know, routine health things. Decided Planned Parenthood was the place to go. Heard about the one in Pikesville, so that’s where I aimed for.

First step was figuring out the appointment situation. I went online, looked up their info. Seemed straightforward enough. Made a call, got things scheduled. Wasn’t too much hassle, honestly. Just had to find a time that worked.
The day came, and I drove over there. Finding the place wasn’t too bad, used my phone’s map. Parking was available, which was a relief. Sometimes finding parking is the worst part of going anywhere.
Walked inside. It felt pretty normal, like any clinic waiting room, I guess. Went up to the front desk. Had my ID ready, filled out a couple of forms. Standard procedure. They told me to have a seat and wait.
So, I sat. Flipped through my phone a bit. The waiting room wasn’t super crowded. Maybe waited, I don’t know, 20 minutes? Someone called my name.
Followed them back to a smaller room. A nurse came in first. Asked some basic questions, health history, why I was there. Took my blood pressure, weight, the usual stuff. Pretty quick.

Then I waited a bit more for the main person, the clinician or doctor, whatever their title was. They came in, were friendly enough. We talked about my reasons for the visit. Asked me questions, I answered. Felt like they listened, which is good. Did the check-up part. It was professional, they explained what they were doing.
Here’s the breakdown of what basically happened:
- Decided to go for a check-up.
- Called the Pikesville location and made an appointment.
- Drove there on the scheduled day.
- Checked in at the front desk, filled out paperwork.
- Waited in the waiting room.
- Got called back, saw a nurse first for basics.
- Waited a bit more, then saw the clinician.
- Talked, got the examination done.
- Got my questions answered.
After the exam, they told me what the next steps were, if any. Asked if I had more questions. I didn’t really. Seemed like everything was covered.
Then it was pretty much done. Got dressed, went back out to the main area. Checked out at the desk, handled the payment part. They gave me some papers with information.
Walked out, got in my car, and drove home. Overall, it was just…a health visit. Went in, got seen, got information, and left. Did the job I needed it to do. No big drama or anything. Just a straightforward process at that Pikesville clinic.
