So, someone asked me the other day about Capricorn and Scorpio, you know, how well they actually get along. And it got me thinking, ’cause I’ve seen a few of these pairings around, and I’ve always been a bit curious myself. It’s not like I’m some astrology guru, but I do like to observe people and see what makes them click, or not click.

I decided to dig into this a bit, just for my own curiosity, really. Didn’t go crazy with charts or anything, just kinda pieced things together from what I know about these signs and what I’ve seen. You know, you hear stuff, you see stuff when you’ve been around as long as I have.
What I Reckon They’ve Got Going For Them
First off, both these signs are pretty serious characters. Ambitious as hell, the both of ’em. Capricorn, they’re all about climbing that ladder, getting stuff done, real methodical. Scorpio, they’re intense, driven, and they go deep into whatever catches their interest. So, they can really respect that work ethic and determination in each other. They’re not looking for some flaky type, you know? They want substance.
- They both value loyalty. Big time. Once they commit, they’re usually in it for the long haul, through thick and thin. That’s a massive plus in my book.
- Both are pretty private. They don’t spill their guts to just anyone. So they can create this really tight, exclusive little world for themselves, which they both probably like. A sort of ‘us against the world’ vibe can be strong.
- They’re resourceful. If life throws them a curveball, they’ll hunker down and figure it out together. Not a lot of drama, more like, ‘okay, what’s the plan? How do we fix this?’ Very practical in that sense.
Where Things Might Get Tricky
Now, it ain’t all smooth sailing, is it ever? Both can be stubborn. Like, really dig their heels in. Capricorn can be a bit rigid, set in their ways, ‘this is how it’s done.’ And Scorpio, well, they don’t back down easily, especially if they feel strongly about something. So, if they butt heads, it can be a real standoff, a battle of wills.
And then there’s the control thing. Scorpio can be a bit possessive, want to know everything, understand all the depths. Capricorn, while loyal, also likes their independence and doesn’t like being pushed around or feeling managed. They have their own plans. That can cause some friction if they’re not careful, if boundaries aren’t respected.
Communication could be another one. Capricorn sometimes keeps things bottled up, very practical, not overly emotional on the surface. They show love through action, not always words. Scorpio feels things super deeply and might want more emotional intensity or verbal reassurance than Capricorn naturally gives. Scorpio might try to dig and probe for those deeper feelings, and Cap might just shut down more if they feel pressured.

So, What’s the “Percentage”?
People love asking for a percentage, don’t they? Like it’s a math problem you can just solve. If I had to pull a number out of thin air, based on what I’ve seen and thought about, I’d say it’s got a pretty decent chance of working out, maybe higher than average for some pairings. But honestly, that percentage stuff is a bit daft. Life isn’t a spreadsheet. It’s not about a number.
I’ve seen some Capricorn-Scorpio couples who are like a powerhouse. Super solid, unstoppable. They just get each other on a fundamental level. I remember this one couple, she was a Capricorn, he was a Scorpio. They ran a small farm together. You could just feel the mutual respect. They didn’t need to talk much when working; they just knew what the other was thinking, what needed doing. Solid as a rock, that pair.
But I’ve also seen it where the stubbornness just grinds them down. Or one of them feels like the other is trying to control them too much, and they just drift apart because neither will budge.
At the end of the day, with Capricorn and Scorpio, or any pairing really, it comes down to the actual people involved. Are they mature? Are they willing to understand each other’s quirks? Can they give and take, and compromise when needed? It takes work, no matter what your sign is. These two have a lot of good stuff to build on, for sure. A shared desire for security, a deep potential for trust, and that intense loyalty can go a long, long way. They just gotta watch out for those power struggles and make an effort to really hear each other out, even when it’s uncomfortable. If they can do that, yeah, they can be a real force together, build something lasting.
