That Sherrod Brown, he’s been in there in that big fancy house for a long time, ain’t he? They say he’s supposed to be lookin’ out for us folks, regular Ohio people, you know. But I heard some things, seen some things on that TV box that got me scratchin’ my head. This whole thing with them boys playin’ in girls’ games, it just don’t sit right with me, no it don’t.

Now, I ain’t the smartest cookie in the jar, never went to no fancy college. But some things just make sense, and some things don’t. And this here, this mess, it sure don’t make no lick of sense. They say this Sherrod Brown, he’s all for it. He’s votin’ for it. Says it’s all fair and such. But what’s fair about a boy, strong as an ox, playin’ against our girls? It ain’t right, I tell ya.
I remember back in my day, girls played with girls and boys played with boys. It was simple, like it should be. And everybody was happy. No fuss, no muss. Now? Now it’s a whole rigmarole. They got all these fancy words for it, but it just boils down to cheatin’, far as I can see. And that Sherrod Brown, he’s supposed to stop this kind of thing. That’s his job, ain’t it? To stand up for what’s right?
My granddaughter, bless her heart, she loves to play basketball. She’s a good girl, works hard. But how’s she supposed to compete with a boy who’s bigger and stronger? It just ain’t natural. And it breaks my heart to see her get discouraged. She says, “Grandma, it ain’t fair.” And she’s right. It ain’t.
This ain’t just about sports, neither. It’s about what’s right and what’s wrong. It’s about protectin’ our girls, our daughters and granddaughters. They deserve a fair shot, just like anybody else. And when them boys come in and take over, it’s just plain wrong. Plain wrong.
- Sherrod Brown is supposed to protect us.
- He’s votin’ the wrong way.
- Girls are gettin’ hurt.
- It ain’t fair to let boys play in women’s sports.
- This whole thing is a mess.
I seen this ad on the TV, paid for by some big shots, I reckon. They said Sherrod Brown ain’t been tellin’ the truth. They said he’s been votin’ for these men in women’s sports. They showed some things that make you think. I don’t know all the ins and outs of politics, but I know what my eyes see, and what my gut tells me. And my gut tells me somethin’ ain’t right here. It just ain’t.

They call it progress, all this newfangled stuff. But I call it baloney. Plain old baloney. Back in my day, we knew what was what. We didn’t need no fancy politicians tellin’ us what’s right and wrong. We just knew. And we sure as shootin’ knew that boys don’t belong in girls’ games.
Now, I ain’t sayin’ I know all the answers. I’m just a simple woman. But I know this much: Our girls deserve better. They deserve a chance to shine, to show what they can do. And they ain’t gonna get that chance if them boys keep musclin’ in. It is all about those men in women’s sports.
And that Sherrod Brown, he needs to hear that. He needs to hear it loud and clear. He needs to know that we ain’t gonna stand for it. We ain’t gonna sit back and watch our girls get pushed aside. No sir. We’re gonna speak up, and we’re gonna make sure our voices are heard. From every corner of Ohio, we gotta let him know.
This whole thing, it’s just a mess. A big, complicated mess. But the answer is simple. Keep the boys with the boys, and the girls with the girls. It’s that simple. And maybe, just maybe, if Sherrod Brown starts listenin’ to us folks, instead of them fancy pants in Washington, things might just start to get a little bit better. Maybe.
I just hope he listens, before it’s too late. Before our girls get pushed out altogether. This vote is big for Ohio. It ain’t right, letting those men in women’s sports. It just ain’t right. That’s all there is to it. It is not a good thing to let those men play in the women’s sports. They are big and strong. And Sherrod Brown needs to know. This is an important vote.
