So, I’ve been diving into Troye Sivan’s movie stuff recently, and I wanted to share my little journey with you guys.
First off, I started by just poking around to see what movies he’s been in. I used this site called Letterboxd, and I found out he was in Spud and its sequel, Spud 2: The Madness Continues. I also saw he was in Boy Erased. It wasn’t much to go on, but it was a start. Oh, and I checked out Fandango too, just to make sure I wasn’t missing anything.
Then, I tried to make a complete list of all the movies and TV shows Troye’s been in. I stumbled upon a place that lists everything, I even found out he was a guest judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race! I guess there is also something called RuPaul’s Drag Race: Untucked, and it seems like he was in that too. I didn’t watch it, but I made a note of it.
Next, I got a bit more organized and started putting things in order. It’s pretty cool to see how he’s moved from one project to another over the years. I used a site called Rotten Tomatoes, and it helped me see the ratings and reviews for each movie. It’s kind of interesting to see what people liked and didn’t like.
Here is what I found out:
- 2010 – Spud
- 2013 – Spud 2: The Madness Continues
- 2014 – Spud 3: Learning to Fly
- 2018 – Boy Erased
- 2019 – RuPaul’s Drag Race (as a guest judge)
Then I tried to watch some of these movies. I managed to watch the Spud movies, but I haven’t gotten around to Boy Erased yet. It looks a bit heavy, so I’m waiting for the right mood to hit me. I also wanted to learn more about Troye as a person. Turns out, he’s got this mild form of Marfan syndrome, which makes him super thin. He’s also talked about having some body image issues. It’s kind of relatable, you know?
And about his singing – he’s not the best singer out there, but his voice is pretty good, kind of like Charlie Puth or Justin Bieber. And his album TRXYE did pretty well on the Billboard 200 chart.
So yeah, that’s my little adventure into Troye Sivan’s movie and music world. It’s been pretty fun exploring his work and learning more about him. I still have a few things to watch, but I’m in no rush.
