Okay, so the other day I was on a movie kick, and “Me Before You” popped into my head. I remembered loving the movie, but I couldn’t for the life of me remember all the actors’ names beyond the two leads. So, I decided to do a little digging, and here’s how it went down:
First Step: The Obvious
First things First. I needed to refresh my memory on the main characters.
- Emilia Clarke – Yep, knew that one. She played Daenerys Targaryen in Game of thrones, no brainer, she is so good.
- Sam Claflin – Of course! It’s coming back to me now, He was also in The Hunger Games. Finnick, so charming.
Digging Deeper: The Supporting Cast
Okay, the two main characters, that so easy, but who played Will’s parents? His sister? The other folks that popped up? Time to hit the web!
I started by simply searching for “me before you cast” – super original, I know. that is all I need. The search results page gave me exactly what I want!
The “Aha!” Moment
- Charles Dance:plays Will’s father, Steven Traynor. I know this man, Tywin Lannister in Game of thrones, It all makes sense now!
- Janet McTeer: plays Will’s Mother, Camilla Traynor. This name I do not familar with, have to search her later.
- Jenna Coleman: Lou’s sister, Katrina (Treena) Clark! It’s all coming back to me now.
- and more others, they are good.
I spent some time browsing through the cast list, I clicked on a few names I recognized, it is so funny, it helps me, and I am happy to know who they are.
Putting It All Together
With my newfound knowledge (or, you know, refreshed memory), watching some TV about the actors that day, and reading up on the actor who played Will’s mom – It was a fun little exercise. It really is amazing how many actors you recognize once you start looking!
