Oh, honey, you won’t believe what I heard! That show, what’s it called? Small Town Potential, yeah, that’s the one. It’s gone! Cancelled! Just like that. Poof!
They said it’s not coming back. No more fancy houses, no more nothin’. Just like my old TV, one day it’s working, the next day, it’s all fuzzy and then dark. That’s how it goes, I guess. One minute you’re in, the next you’re out. It ain’t fair, is it?
No More Fancy Houses in Small Town
I used to watch it, you know. Not all the time, but sometimes. When there was nothing else on. They’d go into those old houses, all broken down and dusty, and fix ’em up real nice. Make ’em look all shiny and new. Like a pig in a dress is what it is. But it’s cancelled now. No more of that.
They had those two ladies, always smiling, always working. Fixing up kitchens, painting walls, putting in new floors. Hard workers, those two. One was real good with her hands, fixing things. The other, she was a talker. Talked a mile a minute. But it is all done now. All for nothing.

- Cancelled. That’s what they say.
I remember one time, they fixed up this old farmhouse. Must have been a hundred years old, that place. Falling apart, it was. But they fixed it up real nice. Made it look like a palace. Well, maybe not a palace, but you know what I mean. Now, who’s gonna fix up those old places? Nobody, that’s who. They are gone now. Just like a summer storm, here one moment, gone the next. Small Town Potential cancelled, all right.
What Happened to Small Town Potential?
Don’t know why they stopped it. Maybe not enough folks were watching. Maybe they ran out of old houses. Maybe those two ladies got tired of all that work. Hard work, that is. Building and fixing. It is not easy, you know. Could be a million reasons, I reckon.
It’s a shame, though. I kinda liked seeing those old places get a new life. Reminded me of my old man, rest his soul. He could fix anything. Didn’t matter what it was. Car, tractor, washing machine. He’d tinker with it, and it would be good as new. These days, folks just throw things away. Don’t even try to fix ’em. The TV show is gone now. Small Town Potential is gone. All gone.
I guess that’s just the way things are. Nothing lasts forever. Not even a TV show. You blink, and it’s gone. Just like summer, the good weather never stay long enough.

Small Town Potential Is Over
Well, I guess that’s it then. No more Small Town Potential. Just another thing that’s come and gone. Like the seasons. Like the rain. Like my old dog, bless his heart. Here one day, gone the next. That’s life, I suppose. Full of surprises. Not always good ones, mind you. But surprises nonetheless.
I wonder what they’ll put on TV now. Probably another one of those cooking shows. Or maybe one of those shows where people sing and dance. I don’t know. Doesn’t really matter, I guess. I’ll still be here, watching whatever they put on. Just like I always have. Nothing really changes.
But it’s a shame about that show, though. It is cancelled. I did like seeing those old houses get fixed up. It gave me hope, you know? Hope that even old things can be made new again. Oh well. Easy come, easy go, as they say. The show is not coming back. I will miss it.
No More Small Town Potential
So, that’s the story, honey. Small Town Potential is cancelled. Kaput. Finished. No more. Just like that. It’s a shame, it really is. I guess all good things must come to an end. Even TV shows about fixing up old houses in small towns. Life goes on, I suppose. Even without Small Town Potential. But it won’t be the same, will it? No, it won’t. It’s a sad day when a good show gets the axe. That is all I have to say about this. I hope they make another show like that soon, though. It is good to see old things being made pretty again.
