Okay, I’ve been getting a lot of questions about this lately, so I figured I’d share my experience with taking care of my nipples.
First off, I always wash my hands thoroughly. I mean, you don’t want any nasty germs getting near those sensitive areas, right? Especially after changing a baby’s diaper or something like that. But I don’t really bother washing my breasts every time. Usually, I just give my nipples a good rinse with water when I’m in the shower. No need for soap or anything fancy.
Now, sometimes, if my nipples are feeling a bit shy, I like to give them a little encouragement. I gently use my thumb and forefinger to roll them around a bit, or I might apply something cold to help them stand at attention. It’s kind of like waking them up, you know? And if I’m feeding my baby, lying on my side seems to make this whole process even easier.

Sometimes, I’ll put some lotion on my nipples, especially if I’m worried about them getting dry or if I think stretch marks might be popping up. It just feels nice and keeps them soft.

Then there’s the whole boob sweat situation. If you’ve got bigger boobs or they tend to, you know, hang out a bit, you might get some sweat going on there. It happens.
So yeah, that’s pretty much my routine for keeping my nipples happy and healthy. It’s nothing too complicated, just some basic stuff that I’ve found works for me. Hope this helps some of you out there!
