Okay, so I’ve been seeing those “best Vine quotes” compilations popping up all over my feed again, and it got me thinking – why not make my own list? I mean, Vine might be gone, but those six-second loops are forever, right?
So, I started by just, like, casually browsing YouTube. I typed in “popular Vine quotes” and, boom, tons of videos. I spent a good hour just watching compilation after compilation, laughing my butt off, naturally.
My Curation Process
- First Pass: I just watched and enjoyed. No pressure, just reliving the glory days of Vine. I did a few more search, like “best vines”, “funny vines of all time”.
- Second Pass: I started jotting down the ones that REALLY made me crack up. You know, the ones that are instantly recognizable, even if you just hear a snippet. I wrote my favorite on my phone.
- Third Pass: Okay, this is where I got a little more serious. I went back to the list on my phone and tried to remember the context of each Vine. Like, was it a reaction Vine? A skit? A random, perfect moment?
- Organizing (My Brain Hurts):I tried categorizing them. Which, is a big word. Because all vines is just funny! I want to have a “Most likely to be quoted in everyday life” and the “still funny after all this time.”
I realized pretty quickly that everyone’s idea of “popular” is gonna be different. Some Vines are classics, for sure, but some are just, you know, my classics.
The Final cut
After all that watching and re-watching, I narrowed it down to a list I’m pretty happy with. It’s a mix of the super-famous ones and some that maybe aren’t as well-known but still deserve recognition.I keep playing it on my phone.
Honestly, the whole process was just a fun trip down memory lane. It reminded me how much creativity could be packed into six seconds. And how much those six seconds could make you laugh!
