Okay, so, I needed to make a trip to the Planned Parenthood in Providence. You know, the one on Broad Street. I think it’s called the Providence Health Center. Let me tell you, it wasn’t exactly a walk in the park getting there, but once I did, it was a pretty smooth experience.
First off, I had to figure out exactly where this place was. I mean, “Broad Street” is not exactly specific, right? Turns out, it’s at 175 Broad Street. I remembered that I saw it on somewhere, maybe on the Internet, before I decided to go. I’m pretty sure it was 175. I punched that into my phone, and thankfully, it took me straight there. Parking was a bit of a mess, but hey, that’s city life for you.
I walked in, and the place was busy, but not crazy busy. I saw a bunch of people coming and going. You could tell they offered a lot of different services. After some research online, I learned that they do everything from checkups to helping with high blood pressure, diabetes, and even mental health stuff like depression and anxiety. Also, they provide thyroid disorder diagnoses. That’s a pretty wide range, if you ask me.
My main thing was getting a checkup and some vaccines. I’d seen something online about them offering those services. So, I went up to the front desk, told them what I needed, and they got me all signed in.

The wait wasn’t too bad. I was scrolling through my phone, people-watching, the usual waiting room stuff. Finally, they called my name, and I went back to see the nurse.
The nurse was super friendly and professional. We chatted a bit about my health history, why I was there, all that jazz. She explained everything really clearly, which I appreciated. Then, she did the checkup, took some vitals, the whole nine yards. After that, I got my vaccines. Barely felt a thing, to be honest.
After everything was done, I went to schedule a follow-up appointment, just to make sure everything was on track. They had this whole system set up where you could do it right there, which was super convenient. No need to call later or anything.
They mentioned that they also do prenatal and postpartum care. I saw some info about that, too. It sounded like they provide good support for expecting and new moms. Then, I heard they do virtual consultations, which is pretty cool. I guess you can talk to them online or on the phone, which would save a trip.
Oh, and I almost forgot! I had a question about my bill. Their website said to call this number, 833-348-4327, for billing stuff. I made a note of that, just in case. Also, I saw that they have another location somewhere, Central Phoenix Health Center, or something, I am not sure.
They also have this app, Planned Parenthood Direct. I didn’t download it, but it sounds like you can get virtual care through it, which is kind of neat.
All in all
It was a good experience. I got what I needed, the staff were great, and the whole process was pretty efficient. If you’re looking for a health center in Providence, I’d definitely recommend checking out Planned Parenthood. Just remember, it’s at 175 Broad Street!
