Okay, so today I tried to mess around with my pants using a printer, inspired by Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide. You know, that old Nickelodeon show? It was a wild ride, let me tell you.
Getting Started
First, I grabbed an old pair of jeans I didn’t care too much about. Gotta have a test subject, right? Then, I dusted off my ancient inkjet printer – the one that usually just spits out error messages. I figured, worst case scenario, I ruin a pair of pants and waste some ink. No biggie.
The Process (aka The Mess)
I laid the jeans out as flat as I could on my desk. This was harder than it sounds, jeans aren’t exactly designed to be printer paper. Then, I whipped up a quick design on my computer – just some random shapes and letters, nothing fancy. I hit “print” and held my breath.
- The printer groaned and whirred like it was about to die.
- The jeans got sucked in… and then promptly jammed.
- I panicked for a second, then yanked the jeans out. Ink was everywhere.
After some serious printer wrestling and a lot of colorful language, I managed to get the jeans through, sort of. They were covered in streaks of ink, and the design was… abstract, to say the least.
The “Finished” Product
Honestly, it looked like a toddler had attacked my pants with a marker. But hey, it was unique! I tried them on, and the ink immediately started to smudge. I looked like I’d rolled around in a paint factory explosion. My dog wouldn’t come near me.
It was a complete, utter, and hilarious failure. I highly recommend trying this if you want a good laugh and don’t mind potentially ruining your clothes and printer. I learned that printers are defintely not my medium, at least when it comes to printing on jeans.
