Today, I want to talk about how to have a private conversation with my boyfriend in public. It’s kind of tricky, but we’ve found some ways to make it work.

So, first off, we tried picking places that aren’t too crowded. We started by finding spots where we could have some space to ourselves. We tried a few different places, like conference rooms, but they weren’t always available. Then we hit up some coffee shops. They were okay, but sometimes they got pretty busy, and we didn’t want everyone listening in on our chats.
Trying Out Different Spots
- Conference Rooms: We tried reserving conference rooms a few times. They were private, but it was kind of a hassle to book them all the time.
- Coffee Shops: Coffee shops were our go-to for a while. We’d grab a table in the corner and try to keep our voices down. But, you know, it’s a coffee shop, so it got noisy sometimes.
After that, we thought, “Why not try something different?” So, we started taking walks outside. We’d go for a walk after our workout class, and that was actually pretty nice. We found that exercising first helped us chill out a bit, so our conversations were more relaxed.
Getting Creative
- Outdoor Walks: This became our favorite. We’d take a stroll around the block or in a park. Being outside made it easier to talk without feeling like everyone was staring at us.
- Car Rides: Sometimes, we’d just drive around and talk. The car felt like our little bubble, and we could chat about anything without worrying about who was listening.
We also tried using messaging apps. I read somewhere that Signal is supposed to be super secure, so we gave that a shot. It was cool for quick, private messages, but it’s not the same as talking face-to-face or hearing each other’s voice.
Using Apps
- Signal: We downloaded Signal and used it for a bit. It felt secure, but it wasn’t ideal for longer conversations.
- Regular Texting: We still text a lot, but we’re careful about what we say. You never know who might see your messages, right?
Then there’s this thing called Hushme Classic that I stumbled upon online. It’s a headset that’s supposed to make your calls private. I haven’t tried it yet, but it sounds interesting. Maybe it could be useful, but I’m not sure how practical it is for everyday use.
At the end of the day, we realized that it’s all about being smart and discreet. We try to be mindful of where we are and who’s around us. We also make sure to have some private time at home where we can talk freely without any interruptions. It’s a balance, you know? We want to be able to connect in public, but we also need that private space to really open up to each other.

It’s been a bit of a journey, but we’re learning as we go. We’re figuring out what works best for us and making the most of our time together, whether we’re in public or just chilling at home.
