Alright, so I’ve been meaning to share this for a while, and it’s a bit of a doozy. It’s about getting an abortion and how much it’s gonna cost you. It ain’t cheap, let me tell you.

So, first off, I started by doing some digging online. Cause, you know, gotta start somewhere. I saw that the further along you are in your pregnancy, the more it’s gonna cost. Makes sense, right? More complicated and all that.
Then, I found out that a procedural abortion, especially later in the second trimester, at a place like Planned Parenthood could run you about $1,500 to $2,000. Yeah, I know, it’s a lot. And if you’re even further along, like in the third trimester, we’re talking thousands, maybe even more than $25,000! I couldn’t believe it when I read that. I thought that it can’t be!
But then I remembered, hey, there’s gotta be some options for folks who can’t afford that, right? So, I looked into that, and it turns out, yeah, there are places, like some Planned Parenthood locations, where you might be able to get it done for free or at least way cheaper. Thank goodness for that, am I right?
Insurance
- Checking with insurance: I called up my insurance company to see if they cover it, and guess what? Some do, some don’t. It’s a real mixed bag.
- What I learned: If you’ve got insurance, it’s definitely worth checking with them to see what’s up.
The Telehealth Thing
- Heard about telehealth: I also saw something about telehealth making it easier to get abortion pills if they’re legal where you live.
- Exploring that: I didn’t go that route myself, but I thought it was worth mentioning. If that’s something you’re into, might be worth looking into.
So, yeah, that’s basically what I found out. It’s a wild ride, figuring out this whole abortion thing, especially when it comes to the money side of it. But I figured, sharing is caring, right? Hopefully, this helps someone out there who’s in the same boat.
