Okay, so yesterday I was scrolling through my phone, and I saw this funny video. It was making the rounds again, you know, the one with the little girl and her mom. I decided to dig into it a bit more.
First, I watched the original video about a hundred times. Seriously, it’s so hilarious! This little girl, she’s filming her mom posing all dramatically in the yard. It’s like something out of a movie or something. And the mom, she’s totally into it, striking all these poses.
Then, out of nowhere, the girl notices something on the screen. She’s using one of those Snapchat filters, and her bitmoji shows up behind her mom in the video. The girl totally freaks out and yells, “Mommy, mama, a girl behind you!”
I couldn’t stop laughing. I mean, the mom’s posing, the bitmoji popping up, and the girl’s reaction – it’s just pure gold! So I started looking up where this whole thing came from.
Turns out, this phrase has become a thing on the internet. It is from something called floptok. I’m not even sure I totally get it, but it’s like this whole world of memes and inside jokes. And this video is a big part of it.
I spent the next few hours going down this rabbit hole. I watched tons of videos of people using the phrase in all sorts of situations. Some were pretty funny, others were just weird. But it was all entertaining, that is for sure!
Then I decided to make my own video. I got my friend, Sarah, to help me out. She was the “mom,” and I was the one filming. We tried to recreate the original video, but with our own twist. I don’t want to say too much, but let’s just say there was a surprise guest appearance.
It took us a few tries, but we finally got it. We put the video online, and it’s been getting a lot of love. People seem to really like it, which is awesome. I even got a few messages from people saying they’d never heard of the “mommy, mama” thing before, and now they’re obsessed.
So yeah, that’s how I spent my day yesterday. From watching a funny video to making my own version and sharing it with the world. It’s amazing how something so simple can bring so much joy. And it’s cool to be a part of this whole internet thing, even if it’s just in a small way.
I’m already thinking about what other videos I can make. Maybe I’ll try to start my own meme. Who knows! The internet is a wild place, and I’m here for it.
