Okay, so last night, my husband and I decided to spice things up a bit. We’ve been together for years, and let’s be honest, things can get a little…routine. So, I did some Googling – don’t judge – and found some interesting “married sex positions” to try. It felt a little silly at first, but hey, we’re all about keeping the spark alive.

Getting Started
First, we set the mood. You know, dimmed the lights, put on some music – nothing too crazy, just something to make it feel a little less like a Tuesday night. We even lit a candle, which, I’ll admit, was more about avoiding tripping over the cat than actual romance.
The Experiment
- First Try: We started with something we kinda knew, like, a variation of missionary. The article I read called it “The Lotus” or something. It involved more eye contact, which, surprisingly, was pretty nice. We usually just zone out, you know?
- Second Attempt: Then we got a little more adventurous. There was this one that looked like some kind of pretzel. I swear, we spent more time laughing than actually, uh, doing anything. My husband pulled a hamstring, I think. We had to pause for some stretching and a lot of giggling.
- Went back to something easier: We are not as flexible as we used to be. I do not recommend trying to be a contortionist in the bedroom.
The Aftermath
Honestly, it was fun! Even the hamstring incident. It wasn’t about achieving some mind-blowing orgasm; it was about connecting and trying something new. And laughing. Lots and lots of laughing. It’s a good reminder that sometimes, the best part of sex is just being silly together. We ended the night cuddling, and, well, you can guess the rest. Will we try some crazy new position every week? Probably not. But it definitely shook things up, and we’ll definitely be revisiting some of those – the less pretzel-like ones, at least.
